Normal/routine maintenance, bottom cleaning,public area carpeting/upholstery.
In addition, the engines and thrusters are overhauled, propellers examined, electronics (operational, navigational and entertainment) updated, repairs made to areas which would inconvenience passengers if they were onboard, etc. It's kind of like taking your car in for a 10,000 mile maintenance, getting your tires rotated, oil changed, etc.
All ships have a dry or wet dock every 2-3 years. The salt water, seas and dockings do a number on the ship.
