What ship are you referring to?
On Caribbean Princess, there are crab legs and lobster in both the dining room and buffet. On sailaway nite, the Buffet has both lobster and crab legs and then another nite also, I think thursday, but not sure. Maybe another CC member can help you with that. There are some site to go to that show the menus of different ships. The menus also change with the different itineraries, ex: Eastern and Western Caribbean.
enjoy your cruise!!!

Default Lobsters and stuff

- on our 3 Princess cruises we never saw them on the buffet, only in the dining room on the second formal night (ours were all 7 day cruises) - but then we didn't go to the buffet that night either :-) But we had been told if we wanted lobster we had to get dressed up....

It's the GOOD stuff (Maine lobster tails), and you can have multiple servings if you wish. We usually wins up having 2-3 apiece, and skip most of the rest of the meal except for the salad and the dessert.
It's worth getting gussied up for !

Yes, the good stuff is served in the dining room, (cold water tales on formal night, the second one I think) But the lobster served in the Caribe Cafe is warm water lobster, no comparison to its cousin from New England. Karen

The lobster served in the dining room are the tails only. The waiters remove them from the shell for you. They give you two at a time. The lobster claws were served on the Crown in the buffet restaurant the first night of the cruise. You had to crack them open yourself. Any cruise I've gone on has a lobster tail night.

Default Maine Lobster

On the seafood buffet they had all the cold water lobster claws you could want. Then they served the tails 2nd formal night, with 2nds if you wanted them. Crown 8/22
