Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Haha. 😂 Yes, and when I saw it the edit window had closed. 🍹
  2. The new webinar link won't work for me either. Tried multiple computers and browsers. When you go to the GoTo website it has a top banner acknowledging they are experiencing an unplanned knowledge. I'll keep trying. 🍹
  3. I haven't sailed in one so I won't give my opinion I've formed. However, one aspect that hasn't been mentioned is there aren't balcony dividers that can be opened with adjoining cabins...well, because they aren't balconies 😉. I sail with family and friends and always get our cabins in line and have the dividers opened up. 🍹
  4. A couple of years ago on the Equinox, S-class like Reflection, we did. I asked the first night and they brought over a MDR menu. Every night after that, when seated, we were given both menus without asking. Our waiter would make suggestions/things to avoid from both. Before sailing, I read reports it was impossible and also reports it was possible. I would say to ask. You never know unless you do. If for some reason they won't, the MDR Classics are available. 🍹
  5. Paul & Tim, Hi! I just caught up with your 'Live'. I love all of the information and details and can already tell it will be enjoyable to follow along. Have two wonderful cruises! 🚢 🚢 How exciting...you will be boarding later today! That feeling NEVER gets old! 🥳 ❤️ Kelly 😃 aka CoCo 🍹 Happy to have met you & Tim on the Equinox in 2021 - Return to Cruising. 🥰 How fun... you're cruising with Rosie @Ellesor826! 🌹
  6. I did the tour last year on the Beyond. No gifts. The only thing we had and kept was the pass on the lanyard. Very interesting tour. I wasn't fond of wearing long pants and closed toe shoes for it but I knew ahead of time so I was prepared. 😉 🍹
  7. The Beyond last year...no pencil or paper. We did have 1 pen (like post #16). I asked for another pen (there were two of us in the cabin) and some Beyond paper (they definitely had full size notepads onboard and in the Retreat because the bartender wrote a recipe for my dad). I did get another pen but no paper. That was in a Sky Suite in 2022. On the Equinox in 2021 we had a pencil like in post #3. Previous sailings we had paper and a pen. I love paper, pens, pencils. Always have. 😉 I always take them. Hey, I even have some from restaurants that say: This pen was stolen from ... 🤣 I have to agree that pencil is something from a miniature golf course. Some miniature golf courses even give you an eraser. Very chintzy. I guess that is the New Modern Luxury. 🍹
  8. As for food 'classics' arriving cold... we didn't ask for anything from the changing MDR menu, only the classics, since it was E-class. They were never cold or seemed to be sitting. I wasn't in the Luminae kitchen but I would venture to say the Classic items are stocked in the Luminae kitchen. The Luminae menu is limited, very limited at times, in my opinion, so having the classics available nightly is beneficial. Our waiter offered them before we asked. 🍹
  9. Yes. At least they did when I was on the Beyond last year. You never know with their recent menu changes but they have been the same as in the MDR and Blu. They aren't printed on the Luminae menu. If your waiter doesn't mention them, just ask. Apps • Ceasar Salad • Shrimp Cocktail • French Onion Soup • Escargot Entrees • Grilled Chicken Breast • Broiled Salmon • Steak - the one offered in the MDR, it was Sirloin. 🍹
  10. Here are some drink menus from the Beyond. This was October '22. I have more if you would like but here's a sampling. The app shows prices as well. Sunset Bar Craft Social World Class Bar Rooftop Garden Grill Martini Bar 🍹
  11. The flights (if booked prior to the final Cruise Payment date) can get rolled into your cruise fare - so your flights don't have to be paid at the time of booking. You can use your airline frequent flyer # at the time of booking. You can pick your seats. I always have. Some people say they can't but it may be based on the airline. Celebrity states they will get you to the ship and home. They will help find you a seat on a new flight or meet the ship at the next available port. Thankfully I have never needed that 'service' but for the exact wording, you should read the terms under Flights by Celebrity. I find the prices are usually the same as if I booked direct with airline. Maybe a few dollars either way. I once saw a price drop with the airline right after I booked. Flights by Celebrity was impossible to deal with for that. When I book, I give frequent flyer information for everyone I'm traveling with, pick our seats and then go online to the airline and link the record locators to my airline account. One note. They won't show as Ticketed until about 21 days prior to the cruise. What I do, once I make the Final Cruise Payment I call Flights by Celebrity and explain I would like the flights to be ticketed. By the flights not being ticketed you are limited to what you can do on your own. For example, if you wanted seat changes you would have to deal with Flights by Celebrity and not the airline/online yourself. My most recent booking was the easiest yet. Very quick and the agent was extremely knowledgeable. I find it worthwhile. 🍹
  12. We always had bread but usually only came by one time so we would have to ask for more. We compared Luminae to Blu (on a different ship) many times. 🍹
  13. Haha. I do like the little baguettes in Luminae. I wish they would serve a basket along with the 3 butters/spreads like they do in Blu. I would ask for two baguettes at a time. Yes, I was given them but I felt I was being judged. 😆 I only eat the crust on bread (it's a texture thing) and those crusty little baguettes were pretty good. <Sorry to go off thread topic> I laughed at your rationing comment but it does seem like that's what they do. No bread for you! 😂
