I stayed in Moody Gardens, really nice upscale hotel with a couple of restaurants for a single night last november under 300 .

I did several move up bids on edge to go from sky suite to upper suites , I went 4K then lowered it a little and still got the penthouse, it was a amazing vacation to celebrate my wife’s birthday and our anniversary.

I was moved from New York City to a Dallas suburb by my company in 1982 , they did everything, didn’t cost me a cent then they gave us all a extra months pay tax free, gave us a thousand for a down payment for a car and a 5k interest free loan . Also told us if we didn’t like Texas they would give us a severance package and pay for our move back to New York.

Wife likes pump hand soap so I pack it whenever we travel in hotels or cruise suites etc .never saw any ship offer that not even in penthouse.

We were on summit last month , Luminae was closed for lunch on port days and sushi opened at 3 , you could get lunch in outdoor retreat but very small menu.

We always book doubletree very close to port , lots of restaurants in lobby.

Might have missed one or two in almost 80 cruises over 50 years .

Also veterans and some other government employees get ten percent off fare. We didn’t think the area outside yacht club was bad , we went to sports bar, champagne bar , casino and other spots to listen to music .

I need lots of legroom is that available with them ?

Agree Hal offers almost nothing, rccl is a distant third . Was totally blown away with my MSc yacht club equal or superior to celebrity suites . Butler does a better job they will escort you to shows or off the ship etc , our butler carried our drinks from lounge to restaurant each night. They’re the only suite lounge with live music most of the night . Very similar outdoor area with Edge class with outdoor pool , bar but superior outdoor restaurant . I do like the celebrity bigger suites with free specialty restaurants and bar setup . But MSc offers some small bottles of liquor in your fridge.
