Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. That was my thought too but we're all from the same small area. Then I thought maybe their phones are set up differently, but we compared someone who has the same cell provider as I do but still with a different check in date. It's just weird.
  2. Hey everyone, I searched for this issue but there wasn't much help out there. We have a group cruising on the Grandeur on May 11lth this year and if you do the math, check-in is on 3/27 which is what my app says. Others in our group show 3/26 as their check-in date and we can't figure out why or if they'll really be able to check in early. I know this won't impact much but if they check in before everyone else, it could affect the available boarding times. Is this just a glitch or do we actually have different check-in dates? Also, we are all in the same time zone and it was on multiple apps, both android and iPhone.
  3. Not that I was ever bothered by Serra Mist (especially after you add enough vodka) but according to Pepsi, they are discontinuing the brand and replacing it with a new lemon-lime soda called Starry. Interesting... Sierra Mist Is Discontinued. Meet Pepsi's New Soda to Take on Sprite (msn.com)
  4. I don't think so. We ported in Cozumel and Honduras prior to the extended sea day. It was a 5 day turned into a 6 day.
  5. The letter read "Anyone who purchased a beverage package may have their package extended at the pre-cruise price by visiting any one of our bars". So yeah, it was extended for $54+ on your account. 🙂
  6. Hey, I was on this cruise with you. What a miserable sea day we had. Right behind the storm and that boat was a-rockin! I agree, even though it's not Carnival's fault, they could have offered something for the inconvenience. As one who paid for their internet, once they offered it to everyone, my service was seriously degraded and not what I would have liked. I also had the Cheers package and it would have been nice to be offered either discounted drinks or add a day to the package. The only thing "given" to everyone was a free bingo game offering a free cruise. I was fortunate in that I drove to the port and had the extra day off work so there were no costs incurred as a result of the delay but it was not expected and a major inconvenience to most passengers. Yes, I know the weather cannot be controlled. Yes, I know you have to expect things like this occasionally. What matters is how it's handled by the company and in my opinion, they could have done more.
  7. Heading out November 5th for my first solo cruise to the Western Caribbean. Plenty of other cruises under my belt but this is the first one alone. A little nervous but looking forward to it as well.
  8. Yes. Both vaccines are considered "fully vaxxed" and if you have the booster it's considered "up to date".
  9. From Norwegian today: EU Healthy Gateways Ends Pre-Cruise Testing Requirements For sailings beginning August 1, 2022, vaccinated guests sailing on a cruise originating from any port EXCEPT a U.S. port; Canadian port; or Piraeus, Greece are exempt from all pre-cruise COVID-19 testing requirements. We'll still have to test in the US but at least they're starting to let up in some areas.
  10. Norwegian just dropped the testing requirement beginning August 1st. Hopefully other lines will follow. Scratch that. The official statement reads: EU Healthy Gateways Ends Pre-Cruise Testing Requirements For sailings beginning August 1, 2022, vaccinated guests sailing on a cruise originating from any port EXCEPT a U.S. port; Canadian port; or Piraeus, Greece are exempt from all pre-cruise COVID-19 testing requirements. So it looks like us in the US are still stuck with testing.
