Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Hi, just got back from two cruises using a cycler. One was out of San Francisco to the Mexican riviera for 10 days in January. The other was out of Ft. Lauderdale to the Caribbean. Both were on princess. I wanted to let you all know that it is possible to do it! We had a wonderful time and have now booked a cruise for the fall out of Montréal. My husband loves to travel and having these trips to look forward to is life changing. In both instances Baxter delivered the solutions to the port and we brought the other supplies. It takes planning, but is so worth it. It looks like Montréal will be more challenging, but we are going to make it work. If anyone has any questions, let me know.
  2. Thank you everyone who answered this! I feel more comfortable now. I will let the steward know not to unplug our device. Happy sailing everyone!
  3. Does anyone know if when you leave your cabin the electricity cuts off because the medallion is no longer in the room? We have some electricity needs for a medical device that needs to be powered on in the early evening. Thanks!
  4. We’re going on the same cruise in January. Looking forward to following your thread!
  5. Hi. We are about to go on our first cruise since my H went to Peritoneal dialysis. We have been searching for a carry-on case for his Baxter Claria Cycler. Does anyone have any recommendations?
  6. Thank you both for replying. Ideally, we would drain into the commode. We are planning on using the cycler. After hearing from you both and thinking about it, I will bring extension lines with us for the whole trip. We will also ask for one round of manuals in case of power issues.
  7. We are cruising for the first time since my SO started PD. We will be in a veranda cabin on Crown Princess. I was wondering if we would need an extension to the drain line to drain to the bathroom in our cabin. Does anyone have any knowledge about this? Also, do you drain into the shower, commode or sink? Thanks for your help!
  8. I have had club class twice and was waitlisted for my next cruise. Yesterday it came through and I didn't blink - upgraded! I like to go on a cruise to be more spontaneous, lay back and not stand in lines. I think the service is better and so is the food. The waiters want you to be pleased and go out of their way because they see you every day and possibly multiple times. Also, I like to be mid ship. For us, these things are important. For others, it may not be.
  9. Thanks Little Fish! I am going on Princess, leaving from Sydney on November 25th this year. I chose Princess because it was the only line sailing at that time. Looking forward to our journey!
  10. Hi - I just looked for this cruise and couldn't find it on the holland america site - where does it leave from on the 26th? Thanks!
  11. I think asking us to do an evaluation on line after the cruise would be best if they really wanted an good evaluation that was useful!
  12. I just got off the Sirena and had a wonderful cruise. The one change from my last cruise with Oceania was the evaluation form is now filled out online while you are on the cruise. I really didn't like taking my time while I was on vacation to fill it out, so I didn't. I would rather be off enjoying myself than filling forms. What does everyone else think?
