I had made reservartions for table for 4 at the aft dining room on deck 6 several months ago. Then got email, like us all, that Princess is changing policy. I just checked and the reservations are still there but been moved to dining room mid ship on deck 5. Hopefully I won't have to re-do the reservations again. BTW, is there any smoke smell from the casino in mid-ship deck 5? I had picked aft deck 6 to avoid it.

I was reluctant to use Shareperks. Tried the usual email to Princess and got reply that they got my shareholder OBC request but that was a month ago and no obc still. Meanwhile my cruise was coming up in mid March so I used Shareperks. It was easy to use and I had printed out the pertinant page of the stockbroker website that showed the 100 + shares and blackened out account number and other sensitive stuff. That was what I downloaded to send them. 4 days later I got message that it was accepted and that the reward was available to redeem. Did the redemption and 5 business days later saw the obc on the Princess website in my account.

Been to Kono and Honolulu several times and have done ship excursions in the past. Would prefer to do non-ship excursions for upcoming March 2024 cruise. How do-able is getting non-ship excursions on the piers? For Kono will be tendering in.

I just tried test booking a specified cabin, Calif Coastal, and can do so. Mid aft , mid level, balcony for 957 vs 928 pp for chosing vs let Princess do it ie guaranteed. Stopped before actual booking to avoid tying up a cabin for this test. This is usual the guaranteed is the lowest for a specific catagory but you can be anyway within the catagory, I rather pay a little more and get what i want.

DW & I were on this Norway and Iceland cruise also. God's grace we had good weather. The prior one had rain and windy and the one after had rain, even heavy rain. Made it to all the ports and enjoyed the great weather and guides said we were able to see the tops of mountains and brought good weather with us. This cruise was on my bucket list and highly recommend it.

The mid ship ones are closer to the smoke smell of the casino. Deck 6 restaurant on same level as the casino. Deck 5 restaurant with the open Piazza allowing smoke to travel to it. The deck 6 aft restaurant is completely separated from the casino.

Pick Glacier Bay hands down. Also Discovery which I was on this past December-January is nothing to write home about.

Suggest using the form. When I tried just emailing Princess using the email address mentioned in the thread, it took too long and no results. Finally had to use the form and it worked. Since then been using the form and it always works. Sometimes it takes several weeks and sometimes had to call Princess and reply was give it another week. But then go it the next day. Most recently with the form it took only the next day to get the shareholder obc.

Watched briefly and then had to switch off. Very poorly done show. Gives cruising a bad name. Good thing that we can still see the original Love Boat.

Got upgraded to M508 on the Discovery Princess. How is this cabin for the Discovery or any of the other Royal class ships for this location? Is it noisy due to under the Market Place but at the far bow end of it?
