  1. I've flown into Dublin from Chicago on Aer Lingus, we had to wait for the immigration officer to turn up but I don't remember much of a queue once they were there. Your luggage will be transferred and if you're flying on to Southampton rather than Heathrow you will save a lot of walking and queueing at the other end.
  2. And that's another dress code thread finished. Thank you for your contributions, I'm sure there will be another one along soon.
  3. Only on Smart Attire evenings. I really wish the Dress Code was clear, then we wouldn't need to keep having this discussion. Hopefully the OP had his question answered several pages ago.
  4. Yes, lunch is served in both Grills restaurants on embarkation day.
  5. From the Cunard website - Question Is there a transfer between ships when I am travelling on back to back cruises on different ships? Answer Yes, if you are travelling on back to back cruises and you require a transfer between Cunard ships in Southampton we will arrange this for you if it is on the same day. Full details will be provided on board.
  6. That sounds like a different situation, if the OP is able to book their mother into the QG cabin, she will be able to dine in QG. @e&mcruise I have no idea how this would work but a Travel Agent or Cunard direct should be able to advise. It's good to hear that you want to return to Cunard after your first experience.
  7. For Bath to London there are photos of both train carriage types here. First Class has more space.
  8. I think this is Tokyo, Japan
  9. Thank you, fingers crossed there's still time to get to Walvis Bay.
  10. Thanks for the update, has the Captain said when you are likely to leave ?
  11. Your question seems to have caused a discussion about travel insurance, I'm not sure that's what you had in mind. What do you want to know ? As far as I know the party unable to travel will be marked as a No show but there will be no refund from Cunard. The other party can travel as a single occupant of the booked cabin. (This is not from personal experience just from my reading of these boards)
