Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We also saw Jimmy at Mansfield on the St. Elsewhere Tour. We feel so lucky we had the opportunity. Rest in Paradise Jimmy🦈🌴🍹
  2. This being our first MSC cruise, do they provide paper daily planners in your stateroom or is it only posted on the app?

    Aurea Bar

We will be going on our first MSC Cruise on the Seaside in October. Can anyone use the Aurea Bar or can only Aurea passengers use it? TIA
  4. We have booked our first Celebrity Cruise since prior to the pandemic and there is now an option for Stateroom Bar Set Up. The price is 94.99 (in this case) per package but it does not fully explain the cost. Can anyone shed some light on how it works? For example is that the cost per day for the stateroom and is the set up enough for 2 people? Any information will be greatly appreciated.
  5. We have been assigned cabin 9376 which is the last balcony cabin on the starboard side aft on the Mariner. Has anyone stayed in a similar balcony stateroom as this one on a Voyager class ship? Curious more than anything on thoughts.
  6. We are new to Carnival, with the exception of me cruising on the original Mardi Gras as a teen in 1972 or 1973. We are interested in the Faster to the Fun option and we are wondering if it is available on the Mardi Gras. I just booked the Mardi Gras for a 7 day Western Caribbean in January 2024 and the Faster to the Fun is grey instead of black in the planner. Does anyone know if this is not available on the Mardi Gras or if it is too soon for the opportunity to purchase it. TIA
  7. I was born, raised and have lived most of my life in New England and was also born and raised on local seafood including my beloved lobster. I now live in Florida and it is somewhat difficult to find a well cooked lobster. Has anyone either in the MDR or other restaurant, paid the extra for a steamed lobster and if so, how was it, is it cooked in salted water and do you feel it was worth the extra $$. TIA
  8. Angnadam, we are sailing December 1st so I checked today and it told me to check back 30 days before my sailing date. I watched a YouTube video and she said that sometimes they will open it up 60 days prior to sail date. I will start checking on October 1st everyday.
  9. Personally, my husband and I are elderly and decided to give it a try. For us to get on the ship earlier with less people, lunch without having to deal with the Windjammer buffet, VIP seating for shows, not having to lug around our carryon bags and getting to have a real breakfast each morning on our balcony is well worth it for us. We also weighed the cost against the outrageous cost of the drink package for both of us (I know drink alcohol much less than I used to), the Key is a cheaper and better way to enjoy our cruise.
  10. Does anyone know if it is safe to walk to casinos after dark?
