  1. A workaround is to have the II listed as part of the last name. Instead of John = first name, Smith = last name and II = suffix, list your husband's name as John = first name, Smith II = last name. It makes no sense that Princess breaks down the name into various fields but don't send them all to the airline, but that is how they do things at Princess.
  2. We were not offered the option to print our own luggage tags, I think it is only for Schengen countries. Our flight was also on a Delta ticket, but the flight is operated by KLM. Luckily we have hours before our flight, so waiting for over an hour to drop off our luggage did not create problem.
  3. We just returned from AMS. No appointment needed, there was hardly any wait for security. The wait was with KLM, took over an hour to check in luggage.
  4. Just want to report on our experience at this port. We were supposed to stop in Stavanger, but due to other ships being docked there, we were moved to Sandnes. Holland America did not provide any free transportation. Our options were 1) pay $14.95 per person for a bus transfer to the Sandnes train station 2) pay $54.95 per person for a Hop-on, Hop-off Stavanger with round-trip transfer to/from Sandnes 3) pay $44.95 per person for "Stavanger on your own" For those of us who booked a Rodne cruise, none of these options were going to work for us. We formed a group through CC and pre-ordered a taxi for 10 people from Sandnes Taxi. Well, they never showed at the time of our pick-up. Eventually, we had to split our group up and get two taxis from Sandnes to Stavanger. One taxi was charged 426 NOK, the other 450 NOK. DO NOT trust this company in pre-ordering their taxi. Because they are not reliable. There are taxis outside the pier that you can jump into. Another option we did use was for the return trip to port. We took bus #6 to Roald Amundsens gate and it costed 42 NOK per person. The walk from bus stop to cruise pier was only a few minutes and very easy to do.
  5. Anyone booked the brand new Star Princess? Here's hoping their advertised inaugural on 8/4/25 is really the first sailing on this ship.

Not sure if the rules in New Zealand are different, but we were given very specific deadline as to when the FCC must be used: I’d like to share an important update about Norwegian Cruise Line’s response to COVID-19. With the virus impacting communities around the globe, we voluntarily suspended cruise voyages across our fleet through April 11, 2020. Today, we are extending this suspension through May 10, 2020. We plan to relaunch cruise operations with embarkations beginning May 11, 2020. All guests affected will automatically receive their refund in the form of a future cruise credit valued at 125% of the fare paid. These future cruise credits will be issued by Friday April 3, 2020 and can be applied anytime within one year of issue date and toward any Norwegian Cruise Line voyage through December 31, 2022. A lesser value refund is also available for guests who elect not to retain the bonus future cruise credits provided. These guests can elect to receive a 100% refund of the fare paid to be reimbursed to the original form of payment ninety days after the request for a refund has been submitted. All refund requests must be received via the web form: www.ncl.com/case-submission/peace-of-mind, which will be made available from April 13 through April 27, 2020.

If the following items Air that was not originally added to the reservation Essential Travel Protection Ground transfers Land items, such as pre and post hotels and cruisetours will trigger a cancellation of the cruise reservation for non-payment, NCL can opt to cancel just these items when no payment is received or at the very least not allow the customer to book these items themselves (online/in the app) without the intervention of a live person.
