Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Hey BlerkOne glad to see your input as always!!!
  2. Absolutely and reading these post historically meant the same as a healthy dose of stress relief! I still enjoy a good dose of the absurd, the outlandish and sometimes even the heartfelt dialogue that is presented here.
  3. I am just Blessed to be able to enjoy Carnival Cruising with family and friends. As I continue to view the numbers of homeless, the number of underemployed and the number of helpless American's I cant help but not worry about my Carnival Cruise VIFP Status! Call me whatever but there are much more serious issues that I concern myself with!
  4. I was cruising a few months ago and stumbled upon a lot of young men and women playing basketball on the upper deck basketball court. They were involved in a tournament shootout to win prizes. I also attended a cornhole tournament aboard the Carnival Mardi Gras. Why couldn't the same excitement be initiated with a Pickle Ball tournament?
  5. For those of us that have been Carnival Cruising for many years, we have witnessed different streams of revenue evolve overtime. From new food venues to exciting outdoor family activities. I have also noticed that both women and men sometimes prefere varying hair styles while cruising. One of the most popular of all times is the famous "Hair Braiding" that happens during our Island stops. Why wait until you get to the next Island? Why would Carnival not employ "Hair Braiding" Professionals on-board? Would save passengers time, would bring in needed additional revenue sources and certainly allow for more Island family entertainment venues to be explored. Thoughts?????
  6. I thought I would bring a little something different to the Carnival Cruise Nuts talk. I have always been a huge fan of nice cologne fragrances and people smelling good at all times. My collection has grown throughout the years and I am always intrigued by the scents of women and men. What are some of your favorite colognes to sport on your Carnival Cruise voyages? I will start the conversation off with one of my all time favorites ..... Lapidus Pour Homme ..... Very nice Sweet smell that has been a mainstay for years! Your turn?????
  7. Just read an interesting article where the more astute Pickle Ball players are purchasing personalized paddles to play with. They are embossing everything from their Fraternity/Sorority logos to pictures of pets. If this is not cutting edge stuff then I really don't know what is? It will be interesting to see what eventually happens? Who knows that in our continued quest to find the sometimes "elusive" Cruise Ducks that the prize Duck may be sporting a "Pickle Ball" outfit?
  8. Thanks to everyone who has provided commentary to this topic. You have truly enlightened us with your input into this growing recreational sport. When I first became interested in the sport it was strictly confined to the 55+ communities and a few social circles. The day I saw the interest moving into College campuses I knew that this recreational sport had legs and longevity. Maybe some of the Carnival beards (as our beloved Mr. John Heald refers to the Senior Leadership) will by chance read this piece and begin a Carnival Cruise wide campaign to ensure that current and future customers are offered this exciting event.
  9. Another thought. Carnival should think outside the box on this one. Who says the court has to be outdoors? Build it indoors adjacent to the workout facility? You have showers, bathrooms, hardwood floors, cucumber/orange water and no wind!!!!! Sounds like a real Carnival Cruise Nuts Plan!!!
  10. The court could be positioned as to be shielded from the wind. I really think Carnival should strongly consider bring this growing sport onboard. Again this will open up a whole new clientele interested abd invested in this amazing recreational sport.
  11. Thank you for the active and candid responses. As always I am amazed at the varied responses. My perspective is that any business better be concerned with profit and loss activities or they will not be in business long. Carnival is a business entity. The Pickle Ball courts will not be a charge facility but they will entice a mature and spending crowd to participate. As far as injuries, I have witnessed passengers going down a flight of stairs, misstep and twist an ankle. Running, exercising, stretching to make your shot is a risk any athlete takes. Physicians are already onboard the ship to examine any patient.
  12. This is just my personal take. I have been working all of my teen and adult life. I have taken many Carnival cruises and have yet to be less than satisfied. This is fantastic vessel and I hope you try her again. We have sailed her twice with a third upcoming. Make you own happiness; that's the on;y way to become a true Carnival Cruise Nut!
  13. The Sport of Pickle Ball was once a 55+ Retirement Community sport. Now, according to the growing popularity, it is spreading onto College campuses and suburbia. I realize that Carnival has concentrated on providing us all with fantastic food alternatives, but should they really be considering this sporting recreation activity as all inclusive on their ships? While Carnival is poising itself for full-time legacy revenue options, are Fleet-Wide Pickle Ball play areas an answer? Carnival Cruise Nuts are curious?
  14. Been on the Mardi Gras and many other Carnival Ships. My favorite is still the Pride. If people don't like the Mardi Gras I am afraid that the industry will only build bigger in the near future.
  15. Save those funds and use them to your next Cruise purchase.
