  1. She is already an adult for a passport. Adults are ages 16+. Children are up to 15.
  2. I have a strange issue now. My originally booked included excursion became a select excursion some time ago. The price is crossed out, and, in my previous version of My Activities, it showed a unit cost for the tour of $0.00 and a total cost of $0.00. However, My Activities from March 22/24 continues to show a unit cost of $0.00, but the total cost now shows $159.00. However, when I look at the day on My Silversea, the price is still crossed off. This differs from another select excursion that I have chosen, where the price is in red and not crossed out. (They have also changed the name of the excursion, but not its content.) I had my travel agent look into this, and the response she got was that I will have to pay. (I was on Bluetooth in the car so I wasn't prepared to talk to the person at the time, because I didn't have any way of making any notes.) She promised to give me the number of the person she was talking to, so I'll see if I can get this figured out. As an aside, I double checked the Shore Excursion Terms and Conditions that I printed out when I first selected my excursions, and it says "Prices are subject to change without notice."
  3. I'm not @CDNPolar, however, you have to go through Passport control if you are connecting to another Schengen country, which includes almost all of Europe. I'm not certain about security, but I think you do need to go through security.
  4. Kids don’t have the option of a 10 year passport. From ages 3-15 it is 5 years, under 3 only 3 years.
  5. It looks like all of the times have now been adjusted for my sailing. It is definitely worth checking yours.
  6. Silversea has recently adjusted the times for almost all of the excursions on my sailing (June 15) except the last 2 ports. They may be going in date order. I now do have a mix of morning and afternoon excursions, and, at the moment, only those of the last 2 ports haven't been adjusted, are are still showing at the arrival time in port.
  7. You go online in the same way you renew your NEXUS card and change the passport number in your file.
  8. Unfortunately, they don’t cover either of the 2 countries I am off to next, so I’ll stick to getting a SIM for Europe.
  9. I used the cruise line for my first 2 river cruises (both in Europe, and both not adding on any additional days). In both cases, I was flying in on day of embarkation. For my other 2, both in south east Asia, I made my own arrangements and added on time at the beginning of the cruise. (On the Irawaddy, I added on the cruise lines post-cruise extension, but made my own air arrangements.) Now I have much more difficulty with jet lag, so I will never again fly in on day of departure.
  10. Thanks. I don’t know how I missed it.
  11. I don't see ANY mention that gratuities are included anywhere in this document
  12. I fly alone. On a wide body plane, I always choose the centre section, and since my left leg needs to stretch out some of the time I go for seat D. I want to be able to get up without having to climb over anyone. Particularly if the plane is 3-3-3 I hope that the other 2 seats will be a couple and if they want out the middle seat will climb out on the other side. And if the centre section has 4 seats I can hope for an empty seat beside me, since those middle seats are the least desirable.
  13. But the seats are narrower because the tray table is in the arm rest.
  14. The EQ card is not actually a debit card. It is not accepted in places that don’t accept credit cards. It is a (prepaid) Mastercard. I remember trying to use it to buy foreign currency, and they wouldn’t take it. Then I realized that all I needed to do was to walk a bit through the mall to take out cash from an ATM to buy the foreign currency. I don’t use a lot of cash, but I do like to have some local currency with me. The ATM fees are only rebated in Canada. If you use it outside the country you will pay any ATM fees charged by the foreign bank. I use the card all the time now when I travel. I had no problems using it in Germany and France as well as the US. The 0.5% cash back isn’t a lot, but there are no foreign currency fees.
