We were on the Seashore in February. It must have been a different Seashore. We experienced none of the negative comments you are are referring to. Especially the bartenders. They are a bit slower than some other cruise lines but never was ignored and no extra tip was needed.

We have been on 2 previous msc cruises from Florida and enjoyed both. On May 23rd we are sailing on the older msc sinfonia from Athens. This will be a completely different type of cruise than what we have been on before. I always say the people that write these extreme negative reviews either work for another cruise line or expect a Oceania experience for an msc price. We have been on over 50 cruises with most cruise lines and outside of some minor differences and complaints, we are more than happy with MSC. Food, cabin, entertainment etc has been just great. The staff have always been friendly and helpful.

Is there enough time to get to Venice and back? That is a lot of people wanting to go someplace at the same time. Do all the cruise ships dock at Marghera or Fusina? According to the port of Marghera website, the Sinfonia docks there.

Do MSC ships dock in in Venice or are passengers tendered? I understand that whatever it is distant from everything in Venice. True? Any suggestions for tours in Venice?

My error. That is when we are arriving in Athens. Ship sails on the 23rd of May. Looking forward to your review.

Thanks. Checked it out but nothing recent. I will write a review when we get back. Usually don't place much trust in the reviews. Mostly people that have a bad experience and want to air it out. Many of the people with good experiences never write a review. Just my observations.

I never see any Sinfonia reviews on these boards. I am sailing on May 20 from Athens on the Sinfonia and even the role calls have no responses. Always looking for good or bad info when sailing on a new ship. This will be our first Med cruise and first cruise on a european only based ship. We are from Florida.

I was just on the Seashore in Aurea class and checked both menus. The same.

The menu is the same, just no specific time to dine.

We sailed on the Seashore recently as an Aurea guest and it was worth the upgrade for us with the anytime seating and the thermal spa with the hot tub. Not worth upgrading on the Sinfonia from what I am reading. I was not aware of a school holiday. Does that mean the ship will be packed with kids?

It appears this ship doesn't have specialty restaurants or a hot tub in the Aurea thermal spa. Or even any time dining for Aurea people. This ship is going to be different for sure.
