Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Thank you everyone for your advice and input. Ultimately he's decided to forego this shore excursion.
  2. Good Morning -- We depart on the Apex this Saturday and DH has booked a small group scuba excursion through Celebrity in Grand Cayman. Has anyone done this excursion and can provide a review, or a similar excursion through another cruise line? Also, it states wetsuit not provided but doesn't mention if there will be any available for rent or if so, the cost etc.,. This lack of information has my DH questioning if he wants to cancel his reservation, so hoping someone here can advise of any personal experiences. Thanks in advance!!

  4. We must be on the same cruise, I also saw the same low amounts for those and bid max amount for the two top suites and noticed that the rest of them were much higher. Given there are only 2 of each category on the ship and both appear booked it's highly unlikely either work out, but good luck to us both!
  5. If you go into the app on your calendar you'll see at 3 p.m. on your embarkation day the dining package. I don't believe you are able to book any specialty reservations and utilize the dining package as payment until on board.
  6. Sky Suites fall under the Retreat, if you aren't seeing any it likely means they are sold out for that sailing.
  7. Thanks everyone for your posts. It is in fact a GTY SV, so I think it's the scenario where we'd end up in an open IV, whether that be prime, concierge or aqua, so for now my TA and I both agree I'm going to wait on booking and watch to see if a cabin we actually want to select becomes available. This is what I did for our recent Edge sailing in January and it worked out, if not we'll select a different ship and itinerary. Happy Cruising, all!!
  8. Thanks for the explanation... I don't know if she's confused or not, but says she can't see them just that it states there are 5 available and she can't tell which ones or which deck they would be on.
  9. Correct, I definitely do not want to end up in one of the IVs
  10. Unfortunately I did ask the questions and was told "I have no clue." Which is even more unusual... It's a sunset veranda room on an E class ship, I have never seen a situation where those are sold in a "GTY" cabin, typically I've seen that in the IVs, Aquas, Concierge and Suite, but not typically the SV...
  11. Good Afternoon I'm booking a future cruise and my TA has said she has 5 cabins in a "group" but when I check X's website for that itinerary I'm not seeing cabins of that category showing available. I asked how that gets assigned or how do we know which cabin we'll be in and was told they don't know. Which seems strange to me, we've used this TA for years and never experienced this before, although I have to assume we've had group rate reservations before just in lower pricing than advertised by X. Has anyone had a similar experience that could say how it went? Is the reservation considered a guaranteed room in that category and it's assigned later or will it be immediately assigned out of the group? It seems unusual they are unable to see which cabins are assigned to the group and worry it may mean it's overbooked. Would appreciate any feedback.
  12. Bed will be by the balcony for 9284. 9282 and 9286 should both be bed by the bath. When looking at deck maps you can tell if there is a square for a sleep sofa those are always bed by the bath.
  13. In an earlier post in this thread someone stated that the spreadsheet is no longer being updated as the creator passed away. You can do a search within the topic itself (check top right magnifying glass) and put in the ship name or even a cabin number to see if it comes up.
