Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. We were on a B2B a few months ago and also didn’t receive any invites to upper tier events( we’re Titanium also) in fact really didn’t notice any acknowledgment of our tier the whole time we were on the ship. I thought like you did, that they didn’t do them anymore.
  2. Thank you for your help. We’ve gone ahead and booked above the Discovery Centre. I’m much happier about being in that area than up high and forward.
  3. I’ve now been offered a deck 5 cabin. This is over the Discovery Centre. Will this be a noise problem?
  4. Has anyone stayed in cabin 710 or any of those forward cabins? I’m a bit concerned with how much movement you feel in that position. I would not normally look at booking this cabin but not much choice on the cruise I’m looking at in the Kimberley. Is Pursuit really good in rougher seas?
  5. I have found the same with Seabourn NZ/ Australian itineraries too. They do several cruises each year and have different itineraries for each cruise, something I haven’t seen as much on Silversea or Regent.
  6. APT also packages up cruises with land tours. So in the Kimberley it looks like on several of their cruises they have land and sea itineraries. This could be very interesting for both local and overseas passengers. Kimberley cruises generally only 10 days and there is so much more to see and experience.
  7. I presume your Kimberley cruise is 10 days. That’s the norm. There’s generally only 1 sea day. If you leave from Darwin, it’s the first day. If you leave from Broome, it will be the last day. All other days you will be out and about on the zodiacs.
  8. I have on been on several Kimberley cruises. And have another booked on the Pursuit next year. No two days are the same. It all depends on the tides. So there would be no way of knowing when you will be out on a zodiac. The ship does not dock anywhere … there are no docks. Zodiacs may take you to a beach area for a wet landing some days, others you will be on a zodiac ride only to experience the wonders of the Kimberley. The only suggestion I have if you wish to lock in appointments is to do it at lunch time. We always seem to return to the ship for lunch. Hope that helps.
  9. Just been on Explorer for 28 days. We only drink red wine and soon found several wines that are offered at dinner that we enjoyed. We always asked the wine waiter for our choice. No problems at all.
  10. And a few years later the overnight in Beijing where the whole ship stayed at the Regent hotel. We had tours to the Great Wall etc etc before going back to the ship. That was really good and very memorable.
  11. Thanks everyone for your replies. I will take some small decorations for our family Christmas table. We will find room for them, we have done this before on Thanksgiving cruises. Our family loves all things traditional at Christmas. We are going to have an amazing and memorable time on our first Christmas cruise.
  12. If I figure out how to send a photo, I will post a picture of our Christmas table on our forth coming cruise. It’s tradition in our family. All very elegant I assure you and enhances the vibe of a very special Christmas dinner.
  13. We will be on Regent for Christmas… first time at this time of the year for us … do they put Christmas decorations on the dining tables in Compass Rose for Christmas Day dinner? Just deciding whether to bring some.
  14. And non existent in Australia AFAIK.
