Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. I think you are overestimating the number of towns that are in Southeast Alaska....
  2. I've always called that location City Market...https://www.newsagaya.com/markets/city-market/
  3. I'd contact the AvisAlaska office in Kodiak: https://www.avisalaska.com/locations/kodiak/ Taking a taxi to the airport should be pretty simple though.
  4. Rent a car and drive out to Fossil Beach: https://maps.app.goo.gl/FuShnYkgVqubV7X79
  5. Icy Strait Point is located at Hoonah: http://visithoonah.com/ And have you looked here: https://icystraitpoint.com/ ?
  6. You could take a cab or an Uber to City Market, which would be the closest grocery store, the evening before. It's address is 900 West 13th Avenue
  7. I drove tour bus for two years for those cruisetours. I would not recommend them. You'd be better off renting a car and putting together your own great trip. The TripAdvisor forums can be a great help: https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowForum-g28923-i349-Alaska.html
  8. Have you looked at booking a private transfer: https://www.bactrans.com/
  9. June, July or August. Definitely not April or October.
  10. Redeye Rides I believe operates year round. That would get you to Anchorage where you could rent vehicles: https://www.redeyeridesllc.com/ Here's the details on Denali after the summer season has ended: https://www.nps.gov/dena/planyourvisit/shoulder-season.htm
  11. Here's the contact info for AvisAlaska's office in Skagway if you want to call and talk to them directly: https://www.avisalaska.com/locations/skagway/
  12. If you want a scenic train trip, do the Glacier Discovery Train to Grandview, going south of Anchorage.
  13. You need clear skies to see the Northern Lights, and that's if there's aurora activity. Since your cruise is through a temperate rain forest, you chances for clear skies is low. If you want to see northern lights, fly to Fairbanks in early March
  14. Check with Bear Valley Road Runner
  15. Alaska Seaplanes: https://www.flyalaskaseaplanes.com/
