  1. Thank you! i will check them out. Have never used Uber so I didn’t give them a thought.
  2. You are correct, I did indeed misunderstand. I will take a look at TripAdvisor. Thank you very much.
  3. Thanks so much for this information. Actually, this is cruise-specific because we will be cruising to Norway from Southampton in May. We are staying at an airport hotel because we booked the Royal Caribbean shuttle from LHR to the ship. I know this may not be the best way to do things, but we are both “older” and we were trying to make things as simple as possible. We have been to London previously and had no need to stay in the city. At any rate,I appreciate your response and I will take a look at the sites you mentioned.
  4. My sister and I will be staying at a hotel at LHR and have reservations for a tour of Windsor Castle. What is the best(easiest) way for two mid-70’s ladies to get there and back? I thought I saw somewhere that you can take a taxi for $30-$40 one way. I understand that it is about a 7 or 8 mile drive. Would an airport taxi take us there? Are there taxis readily available in the vicinity of the castle that could return us to the airport? My sister has walking difficulties and we don’t relish the idea of having to take a bus or train that would require walking any distance to or from the castle. Can anyone advise?
  5. Which Houston airport is closer to the Galveston cruise terminals…IAH or HOU? TIA
  6. I thought that considering the creamers to be actual milk products would be a stretch, but it was the “milk derivative” that I wasn’t sure of since I don’t know how strict an interpretation was being applied. FYI, I did email the Embassy in Washington, DC. for clarification, but I would suspect that you are correct. I just wanted to be sure and not rely on my own opinion. Thank you.
  7. We will be cruising from Copenhagen next month. We always take the little flavored creamer pods with us because we don’t like actual cream or milk in our coffee. I was checking prohibited items for Denmark and it specifies milk or milk products. The creamer contains “less than 2% of sodium caseinate, a milk derivative”. Does anyone know if this would therefore not be permitted to bring in to the country? I guess I could contact the Danish Embassy for advice but thought maybe someone here might have taken this item into the country.
  8. Thanks, everyone, for your responses! This has been most helpful.
  9. We have never sailed from Galveston before and were wondering which Houston airport is the best one for a cruise. We are coming from Pennsylvania and could fly from either Newark or Philly. Any help greatly appreciated!
