  1. I had been to Iceland before as well, but really liked the number of ports. I wish Reykjavic had been an overnight. We enjoy cruising, but also love the nature ports. I'm glad you are home. Thanks for letting us know. We'll keep sending you healing thoughts. Be well and don't do too much! Great to hear from you! I wish we could swing that cruise in 2025, but we are doing South America/Antarctica in January and then Spain and a TA in November. I think that will use up our ink supply for the money printing press in the basement. Hi to Marge and take care!
  2. We loved it. We both said we'd do it again. How about you?
  3. I am totally with you on the added sugar issue. I mention it on every evaluation. They put sugar in a lot of stuff that would be fine without it.
  4. @shadow 123 Welcome to the daily! @RMLincoln Glad you made it safely. I hope all goes well tomorrow. @ger_77 I'm really hoping Maurice's surgery is approved and scheduled soon. I'm pulling for you both! Kind of a lazy day here with not much happening. I'm looking forward to some warmer weather so I can clean the deck and patio. Once they are clean, I will stain the deck and then get some nice furniture for the patio. I want a conversation set with a fire table.
  5. If there is a feedback tab on the left hand side, please use it to report the problem. The workaround I found for the unavailable problem is to log out, search for my cruise and IF I can get to the summary page, log back in. Shouldn't have to do that, but the HAL website has tons of issues that they don't seem at all interested in fixing.
  6. So sorry, Terri, as I know you were really looking forward to this trip. Hugs! I knew I forgot something this morning. The coffee hadn't kicked in yet. @RMLincoln Maureen, safe travels to Maryland. I hope all goes well with the surgery.
  7. Ok, I give up. I've tried editing my post to get rid of the double picture, but it isn't working. Sigh....Please tell me today isn't going to be like that.
  8. Good morning, everyone! We have a cool start to what will be a beautiful sunshiny day! Temps will get to the mid 60s, so I am happy. Not much on the agenda today except a trip to the gym. I think I have everything ready for my trip to Ohio. Lots of driving, but worth it to see friends and spend time with them. Speaking of my trip to Ohio, @0106 Tina has graciously offered to fill in for a few days for me. I'm not sure I'll have internet access on a reliable basis. @summer slope Dixie, have a wonderful time on your cruise! @Rowsby Happy Birthday! @JazzyV Vanessa, you will be in my thoughts all day today. Hoping for a great outcome from your surgery. Hugs to all who are missing loved ones today. Coleslaw is a great side dish and will go very well with your summer barbecues. Mostly I found very similar recipes. I like the green onions in this one. https://www.loveandlemons.com/coleslaw-recipe/ Here is one with a vinegar based dressing that helps cut the calories a lot. https://www.billyparisi.com/vinegar-based-coleslaw/ And here is Blue Cheese coleslaw. You can experiment and use other cheeses like gorgonzola. https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/trisha-yearwood/blue-cheese-cole-slaw-3262578 When I make Blue Cheese Coleslaw, I buy the pre-shredded cabbage. To that I add some very finely sliced onion (use a mandolin) and blue cheese crumbles. I use a vinaigrette dressing and have used the bottled dressing from Garlic Expressions. Quick, easy, and delicious. When I made it for the family there were no leftovers. Wishing you all a wonderful day!
  9. @Cruising-along I'm sorry to hear of the continued issues Amber is having. I hope the surgery will help reduce the swelling. This must be very difficult for the family. Glad you are getting back into the swing of things since your cruise. Are you doing the yearly trek to Yellowstone?
  10. There she goes. Wishing them all a fantastic cruise.
  11. Bon Voyage to our cruisers today, @kazu Jacqui and DF Debbie, and @VMax1700 Colin and Ellen. I hope the cruises are super fantastic! @ger_77 Keep a list of the drinks we want to try. We can have research tastings on Oosterdam when we travel. We want something to fill up all those sea days. May as well get sloshed doing research. We Dailyites will not be outdone by the Institute of Cheer! I did think of you guys yesterday when I saw the snow flurries here in Midland. I know you want to get rid of the snow, but please don't send it here. @smitty34877 Terry, I think it was wonderful that Tana was able to join the family at the table for dinner. We noticed with our mom that she really perked up when there was company in the house during her last few weeks. @JazzyV Vanessa, I will have my fingers and toes crossed and send all the positive healing thoughts your way that I can tomorrow. Let this be the answer! It is a totally lazy day here and I am loving every minute of it.
  12. Good morning, everyone! It is a beautiful sunny day, although a little on the nippy side. I can handle that as long as there is sun. Some interesting days today. The drink would be a bit too sweet for my tastes, but I'd like to sample it to decide. The wine sounds good. And dinner sounds good, too. @bennybear @sailingdutchy This looks really good and it may be dinner sometime in the near future. I would serve it over riced cauliflower to lower the carb count a bit. https://www.eatingwell.com/recipe/278411/steak-pepper-sugar-snap-stir-fry/ This one looks good as well, but there is a lot of sugar added in. I'd need to leave that out or work around it somehow. https://therecipecritic.com/pepper-steak-recipe/ Ree Drummond uses snow peas instead of sugar snap peas for her stir fry. I'd add in some broccoli. https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/ree-drummond/beef-with-snow-peas-recipe-3381538 Wishing you all a wonderful day!
  13. If Hargray is contracted by the community, then the complaints should go to the community officials in charge of contracting such services. Is there a public meeting where the concerns could be brought up? Once you do it, you will make it easier for others to voice their dissatisfaction as well. Perhaps Hargray's next contract won't be so easy to obtain.
