I received the same email with the offers this morning. Have I read it right, 1000 dollars OBC not "up to" 1000 dollars? Also, is port to port the same as cruise only please? The reason I ask is that we are only one hours flight from Athens which is a cruise I am looking at for 2025.

We boarded our ship in Vancouver last October it was a nightmare! There is no separate queues for SS, There was one other ship there (6000) it took three and a half hours to get to the passport control. Yes, your bags should be outside your suite by 11pm, they are taken away overnight, you collect them when you leave the ship. Have a great cruise.

Why would you want to wear either in a dining venue? Are you serious?

Great post. We love to dress up on board, my tux come out Mrs Fudge looks lovely in her best frock, we have become appalled at the way some folks dress for dinner, standards seem to have dropped across all cruise lines, not for the better im my opinion.

Its not AND its OR 20 percent off a future cruise. We had a cruise cancelled in February, I questioned this with our TA, we took the full refund option.

In addition to my last post, SS said they would refund "reasonable cost" of expenses incurred. I now note they have placed a limit on those costs incurred. To be fair SS refunded the air fairs we paid for independently and a pre booked hotel cost.

Wouldn't you think SS would be informing clients about forthcoming cruises which may be cancelled? Our cruise on June 1st including down the Suez canal is bound to be cancelled, just let us know!

I have just had a mail from Silversea advertising voyage only fares. No flights, no transfers or excursions, for those who wish to make their own arrangements.

Dont have em if you dont enforce them!

Thank you everyone for your replies, most helpful. I have researched wine tours, they are plentiful and quite reasonable.

We are in the same boat, (no pun intended) We have already had one cruise cancelled with SS, what a joke that was! It took over 30 days to receive half of the cruise fare, they said our TA would refund the other half, that took over two weeks AND they sent a cheque to our other home in the UK! This cruise on June 1st from Jeddah to Athens through the Suez canal is bound to be cancelled, when, we have no idea? I dont have a back up either, oh well, we shall have to suck it up when it gets cancelled.
