  1. One other variable that I just encountered, equipment change. We had flights all set (not ticketed yet) then got a notification from the airline that the type of aircraft was changed and we had to confirm the changed leg or change flights. The change didn’t really impact our seats so we re-confirmed. We are now ticketed and ready to go.
  2. They want to differentiate from the lines that “nickel and dime” you.
  3. Nothing new here. Caveat emptor: "Across the Viking fleet, pricing that covers everything guests need—and nothing they do not." https://www.vikingcruises.com/oceans/why-viking/viking-difference/viking-inclusive-value.html
  4. You can buy me a drink if we're ever on a cruise together 🍹
  5. I have a feeling it means during meals. No change that I am aware of. Unless of course the SSP is thrown in as part of a promo. That has happened to us twice.
  6. The IWM main campus on Lambeth Road is also worth a visit. As a former museum president, I found its exhibits to be some of the most creative I’ve ever seen.
  7. We took the same extension and 100% agree. It was a terrific experience. Here is my writeup: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2906353-almost-live-viking-sky-journey-to-antiquities-jan-2023/
  8. Grabbing popcorn and awaiting @FlyTalker reply
  9. WWC24 is the current promo. Just received the 24/25 WC brochure last week. Expires April 30, but will probably be extended.
  10. You can indeed spend all day at Bletchley. There is also a ham radio shack on the grounds.
  11. I seem to recall you have about 2+ hours of free time in Bruges. Here is a tip for Portsmouth. If you take the included tour, you can ask to be let off at the Historic Dockyards. IMO the Mary Rose exhibit is a must see, as is the tour of Nelson’s flagship Victory. The shuttle stop back to the ship is a short walk from the entrance.
  12. The Expedition ships also have wireless charging areas on the nightstands. Do any Viking Ocean ships have this yet?
  13. The new iPhone has a “fast” charger (more amps) so it uses a different plug on the charger side. Both chargers are compatible, but the old one takes longer to charge. The iPhone side is either lightning or USB-C. USB-C is the new standard and because of EU lawsuits, Apple is eliminating the lightning connector.
  14. FOMO and perceived premium value. Meanwhile on the Expedition ships, every night is lobster night.
