  1. I suppose many things are possible on the ship. Including camping on open decks or preparing own food, but such things are not supposed to be accommodated. With separated beds it’s listed as an available for request. Duties of stewards do not include switching places for sofa and bed. It’s difficult will invoke additional wear and tear. (I'm sure there are other problems that are difficult to predict)
  2. 62 cruises with 8 lines, and this is the first time I read about such request. Only requests are to separate beds. I’d think some furniture is attached to the floor… and overall, why should this be accommodated. Why not book a cabin with desired configuration?
  3. While I prefer bed by the balcony out of 11 cruises on Anthem once we had sofa but balcony. It wasn’t tight. Anthem has pretty large rooms
  4. Never heard about changing floodplain except for separating bed in two. It’s not possible.
  5. I am enjoying your photos. We were in V in March 23rd cruise and found her to be the cutest out of Vision, Enchantment , Grandeur. Lounge entertainment was THE BEST. Enjoy!!!
  6. It does not matter if you or me like this port (it is OK once in a while), but it is difficult to find substitution. So many ships need ports.
  7. Gouge? They are not government. Not even American company, They lost billions during Covid. They started to be profitable only by the end of 2022, still they need to pay back loans.
  8. Cruises in some reason always evoke some strong feelings in people. No one is discussing A/I, but constantly hear some weird stuff about cruises
  9. We cruise 5 times a year and love to get on the ship as early as we can. Lovely time in deserted solarium 🙂 or even in empty buffet. Embarkation procedures are now way better than they used to be even without priority line, so enjoy our early embarkation
  10. I liked our time in Norfolk. I know we had somewhat long line, but I enjoyed it.. beautiful area.
  11. I usually don’t work lately, as I have enough PTO (well it’s unlimited now, but I match it with 26 PTO days + 3 floating holidays I had before so it’s 29 days) … however I had to work this past Wednesday on Vision, because due to accident with Baltimore bridge we had to dock in Norfolk, VA on Thursday and were bussed to Baltimore, That was supposed to be my work day…. I knew I wouldn’t be able to work that day so decided to work on Wednesday. I wish ships had more power outlet and especially in Solariums 🙂 . When I was officially working from Solariums I had to bring large power bank.
  12. Better than in office for sure. 🙂
  13. Literally nothing happened to vacation time for vacation. 🙂 There is plenty of time for everything, With great internet available we started cruising 5 full cruises a year. Now I have enough PTO days for all 5, but back then working 1-2 days on Thanksgiving week cruise or semi working (watching for emergencies) during Christmas/New Year cruise allowed us to cruise more.
  14. Nope, they are Southern Royal even markets cruises with Antigua and St Kitts (Anthem) as Southern
  15. Seriously? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Caribbean And all cruise lines call itineraries with Barbados & St Lucia Southern Caribbean itun.
