  1. Also interested in this answer. One of the piers is walkable to town and the other isn't?
  2. Exact opposite for us! Being in a non Suite category on E class b2b is what convinced us that we didn’t need it to have an enjoyable cruise. On the suite leg of our cruise we spent the vast majority of our time outside the retreat to include Luminae, which we found bordered upon dreadful for ambience. Our next category on Beyond is a deluxe ocean view.
  3. It will be Reflection so if we do it, will get DM a one time pass. IMO PG isn’t that great on Celebrity, regardless of ship class. I much prefer the thermal suites on either NCL or MSC…but I digress.
  4. What about the Persian Gardens pass on a port day? Any ideas? I'm bringing my DM on her first Celebrity cruise in July.
  5. Hmm...logging in with the new password is big! Especially when you probably knew your old password by heart and also knew you hadn't changed it! Regarding no rooms available, my TA told me that when that happens, they've gone into their system and are usually about to change rates. The glass half full gal in me wants to think those new rates will be better...
  6. Omg!! How cool is that?! Thanks for the tip! I would love that too.
  7. So glad you had a nice cruise. Your itinerary is actually one of my favorites, sans Grand Cayman. I’ve never been on Apex but we will embark on Edge in a few weeks, also in a MC suite. Am I to understand that you asked your room steward/butler to empty your fridge? And then they filled it with your requests? I’m not sure how that works or if we will even bother but like you, I don’t care to be charged for something I didn’t consume…wouldn’t chase down the minimal charges but how interesting that they occurred on the last day when you’re not there to dispute. Question though, if not Celebrity, then who for your next cruise adventure? I agree that, like you we no longer see the value in suites but I’m finding that there are still some good deals to be had once in a while in other categories. Thanks for the review from one of my favorite CC’ers. 😊
  8. Oh dear! Such a distressing thing to read from you Morph! Our Grandeur cruise is next April. DH says he’s looking forward to high brow service. I’ve told him to temper his expectations. 😳
  9. You have to call to get the discount applied. But I strongly recommend that you use a TA and let them make the call.
  10. We are cruising the Med next year and if sailing with Celebrity, we'd make the same decision as you regarding an older ship. The Med is so port intensive that it's not about the ship anyway. Having said that, we are booked on Regent Grandeur...a ship the same age as Ascent and I have read several reports of popping noise as well as paper thin walls. They don't build cruise ships like they used to, I guess.
  11. Can't imagine how I missed it since I'm always around CC...but thanks! I'll go put myself in the corner now...🤣
