  1. Hopefully I will be able to do this as well but still not happy with what we were told as opposed as to what we actually got. Our last sailing was booked under the old program, not happy with the new one.
  2. Yes, very disappointed in the new MSC Casino. We received a cert and was told on board it was for 30% off but went to book and was told its for a Bella Inside for 5 days??? Really so I ask about upgrading to YC via email and am quoted a price. Called Casino dept and was given a totally different price and then got disconnected. Called back and was given another totally different price. I told them about the email price I was quoted and was told that I should email them to book. So I email asking for someone to call me and they reply that they can't and to email my issue, so I did and I hope to get a reply.
  3. That's my fear in pulling the trigger. My first cruise on the Seaside the island was not ready. Was lucky enough to to visit on our next 2 cruises and it is our fav stop so really don't want to book and be disappointed. Actually it is the only good stop on the sailing from Brooklyn, but the no flying hassle makes us lean to sailing from there. I guess I got some thinking to do...🤔
  4. So what are everyones thoughts on this actually completing on time? Was looking at a end of May cruise but don't want to miss this island.
  5. My 2 cents: I sailed YIN on Seaside with a friend. We were originally booked Fantasica balcony and we did not regret the switch. I will say that I heard the YIN on Seaside is slightly bigger than the Mera but with the beds split we had a center aisle and it made the room feel not as small. The room we were in had the public bathrooms a few feet away which was a plus and honestly, with the pool area right there, we didn't miss the balcony and absolutely loved all the amenities. Also, the service was amazing and never having to fight for a lounge by the pool was priceless. Storage wasn't that great but we brought lots of removable hooks and we were fine.
  6. Mike, Let's hope my GPS (Rich) gets us there with no hiccups 😉
  7. Thanks for the info, much appreciated!
  8. I heard somewhere that the 7 day is really considered an 8 day and you are charged $45 a day for 8 days, can anyone confirm?
  9. When booked through BCC, are drinks free in the casino?
  10. On RC we have always been able to bring our 2 bottles of wine to the restaurants or dining room and never pay a corkage fee, isn't Celebrity the same??
  11. Thank you for your response, it's much appreciated.
  12. Sailing Reflection in March with a friend who has limited mobility. I know the taxi stand in Havensight is a bit of a walk but thinking Reflection will dock in Crown Bay. Is the taxi stand to get to a beach close to the pier, or is it also a ways to walk?
  13. I sailed Seaside YC Interior with a friend but will be sailing with DH on Meraviglia YC Interior this summer which I hear might be a wee bit smaller than the inside on Seaside. Storage is limited so we packed a lot of removable hooks for hanging swim suits, coverups and such, it was fine and we were2 women, lol. I booked Deck 16 both times so we are on the same level as the lounge. Dinner is anytime you want to go I believe from 5 or 5:30. I thought food in YC was good. YC and Aurea are different areas. YC has it's own pool, hot tubs, buffet breakfast and lunch but the dining room is also open for breakfast and lunch as well. Aurea guests not allowed in YC area. We did have access to spa but never checked it out. Can't comment on uni-sex toliet but on both Seaside and Seashore there was separate public restroom on 16, one for men, one for woman. We usually tip above the basic grats. Hope this helps.
  14. Sadly we had the same experience. Someone I met said something about them losing their original food suppliers during Covid. We even ate at 4 specialty restaurants and did not feel that it was worth it this time. We went to Windjammer once and never again. Needless to say, we were all very disappointed in the food this time around. Also the ship was full and I don't think they were prepared for this, you could feel the staff shortages. We did speak with a lot of staff who were new and just learning. That aside, all in all we did have great weather and got to sail with great friends AND... we were on Vacation!
