  1. He didn't pay the solo supplement for the suite because his uncle is booked in the suite along with him so he got the plus package perks. His Aunt paid a solo supplement for her cabin and unfortunately doesn't qualify for the reserve restaurant. And if they did say yes, I still say it's not something to say on here because then everyone would be complaining about not being allowed to bring friends traveling with them in the future. You also don't want to get a crew member in any kind of trouble for bending the rules.
  2. Please let me know if they work. I had issues with the on the last cruise so I'm hoping to head it off next time.
  3. It may have been fine last time because your room was technically booked for two, but it's not something we have ever been allowed to do. Just be careful talking about it as Princess does read these board and I would hate for any crew member to get in trouble.
  4. Guys, as this thread has so strayed off topic and gone to discussing recycling, plastic use, restaurants, loss of elite perks and so many other things, I'm going to go ahead a lock it. Guess it's yet another change in Princess!
  5. You are sailing on a Sunday so the traffic between Fort Lauderdale and Port Miami should be minimal. ( I take it you are flying into Fort Lauderdale.) If you are getting into Fort Lauderdale early on Saturday, then I would stay up there in either Fort Lauderdale or Dania Beach and enjoy all that it has to offer. If your flight is late and you are just looking for a place to sleep, then you can stay near the airport if you want to be closer. Coconut Grove is also a lovely area in Miami and you won't have any of the music festival issues there. Personally, I would stay in Fort Lauderdale and head to the port in Miami on Sunday. Figure it will take about 30-45 minutes to get to the port depending on where you stay. You can also take the Brightline train down.
  6. It's a very tough weekend to be in downtown Miami and Brickell and was a weekend that I tried to be away for when I lived in Brickell. The event has a huge impact on the surrounding area. I would HIGHLY suggest staying far away from the hotels near Bayfront park even if one does end up having a room. That's due to the crowds and the loud music. Coconut Grove might be an area that I would look in.
  7. I voted for Nautical and Classy. Truth be told, I'd take any look on a cruise ship if it was given to me for free! LOL
  8. @voljeep you are correct!!! I'm not sure if she her contract is still in or if she is in break. I'll reach out and ask her and let you know.
  9. They will offer a full refund this far from the cruise if the dining is canceled.
  10. This is probably going to be as frustrating as using the Hilton Best Rate GTY.
  11. I loved it but it was always crowded. The food was just okay but the music was great and so were the cocktails!
  12. I hope you all made your flights for the cruise today to Florida. I know I sat at LGA today waiting to get back home and the board at the Delta terminal was red with many delays and cancellations. I was so lucky to only be delayed only an hour but kept checking yesterday to switch flights and so many were sold out. I left last Saturday as Debby was approaching my area and was lucky to get out and couldn't believe I had to deal with it again today. please let us all know
  13. And it was my absolute pleasure to have been able to help you!
