We sailed on the Carnival Miracle a few times. Really liked that ship, especially the disco:

Just off Seashore (2/25/24, 4 nighter) - Review
RC Dancers replied to Morgsmom's topic in MSC Cruises
Our butler on our last Yacht Club trip said that most of the people were in the Yacht Club on upgrades and did not book it originally. It could be that MSC is just trying to adjust the experience to what people paid for it. -
How nice to have a big OBC. We had $700 on another cruise line due to a price adjustment. We cashed out (about $100) in the casino at the end of the cruise.
-
Something similar happened to us on Royal Caribbean. We wanted a certain cabin category and nothing showed up on Royal's website. We checked on Priceline and there was a cabin in that category so we booked it.
-
We got a text saying to arrive at the port two hours later than our original time assignment.
-
I don't believe so. By sand fleas I assume that you are talking about "noseeums." You pick up those nasties on the beach. The sea lice bite while you are in the water.
-
I hope they can take care of the sea lice and jellyfish in the lagoon.

Bahamas port fees and tax increase

Can we get a refund if we stay on the ship? And please make it retroactive. -
Do you have a contact with the group department? On most cruises 8 related cabins are a group.

I know that I am late to this thread, but is it normal procedure for cruise ships to use tugs in San Francisco harbor? -
Wow !! Have the Prices Ever Changed
RC Dancers replied to baldilocks's topic in Royal Caribbean International
My mistake, the C&A discount is for Balconys and up. I was looking at a Central Park view cabin. -

And what happened to the Crown and Anchor discount? I checked on a December 2024 Oasis cruise this morning and there was no difference whether I was logged in or not. -
Interesting Video Review That Supports Recent Comments

We noticed some younger teens in the Divina nightclub a few years ago. I guess it's just the MSC way of doing things. -
Upgrade to Yacht Club Offer ... Ugh The Decisions Never End!
RC Dancers replied to tonyfall1's topic in MSC Cruises
Hah! currently tearing. -
The crew members we spoke with on the Divina before the holidays were pretty upbeat. Maybe the higher occupancy cruises during the holidays took their toll on everybody. We saw a crew member get publicly berated on Odyssey of the Seas and it was not nice to see. We noted the supervisor in our post cruise comments.

To the original poster. Thank you for taking the time to let us know what your experience was like during your cruise. I think the experience varies greatly with the passenger count, so cruising is kind of a gamble at present. Last year, we had a wonderful time on a 800 passenger count Meraviglia, but friends a couple of weeks earlier during Spring break did not enjoy their cruise on the ship at full capacity.

We are also booked on the May transatlantic and share your concerns. 17 nights is a long cruise with a bunch of rude jerks.
-
I was pricing out cruises this morning and was a little shocked to see that a "$189pp" 4 night interior with just the Fantastica upgrade came to around $700 for two. To be fair, a similar Carnival booking priced out a little higher.

Sorry to hear that Seascape did not meet your expectations. We were parked next door to you in Nassau, having a wonderful cruise on Divina (our favorite ship.) Interesting to me that you are comparing to Wonder of the Seas. Our Wonder cruise a month or two ago was the first cruise that I have ever taken where I was glad that the cruise had finally come to an end. We have talked to others who have recently been on RCCL and they agreed with us that their ships are very crowded and that they did not enjoy their cruises for that reason. Opinions will always vary, but thank you for sharing your thoughts.

A Small Ship Girl’s Meraviglia Review - 11/17 Three Days to Ocean Cay
RC Dancers replied to mawvkysc's topic in MSC Cruises
I loved your comparison to RCCL. One difference I have found between the two cruise lines is on Cruise Critic boards. Any negative comment on the RC board and the cheerleaders viciously attack. -
Just off four day Divina. First night was "sunshine party" kind of like flower glory. Second night was white party. Third night at Ocean Cay was casual. Fourth night was Italian theme in the restaurant.

Onboard the Mera (12/11-12/15/22): a Tale of Woes, a Tale of No's....
RC Dancers replied to Morgsmom's topic in MSC Cruises
Thank you for your report. I always value the information you give. -
We just talked to someone who was recently on Harmony of the Seas and they felt that it was overcrowded as well. We love the Oasis class ships, but our opinion is that they are currently overcrowded and overpriced.

I am in the same situation as the original poster, the only Diamond in a family group of eight. I guess the only way to find out is to try. 🙂

We are on Wonder and it's called "crazy quest" now. The same quests as before. I have to say that if you are tired of the Quest, just don't go.
