Seems the On Your Own tour would perfectly meet your desire to "just see the Eiffel Tower". Indeed, the tower is amazing up close and personal. Be sure to buy a ticket online in advance so you can ride the elevator inside the wrought iron lattice to the top. A memory for a lifetime. And it's nice to relax in the surrounding park just admiring the tower. Don't worry about where the drop off point of the excursion will be. The guide will help direct you. And if the Eiffel seems too far to walk, you can easily take a taxi. That's the meaning of the On Your Own tours: Do what you want to do. Being at the Eiffel Tower is a great way to spend your three hours in Paris. And I would say worth the three hour bus ride to be there.

I really want to do Paris on your own with NCL. The main goal is to see the Effiel Tower. I want to buy tickets ahead of time since our time will be limited. But it’s hard to guesstimate what time to purchase for. Does anyone know if they hold you to the time on the ticket? Thank you!

  2. Greetings,

I purchased the Unlimited Dining Package for my upcoming cruise on the Rhapsody of the Seas.

I understand that once I am onboard the ship I can schedule my restaurant choice and restaurant times based on availability but  Royal Caribbean made a reservation for the first night of sailing at 5:30 but it did not state what restaurant.

I'm assuming that when I board the ship I can choose any restaurant at the 5:30 reservation on the first night? It doesn't make sense to me for Royal Caribbean to make the 5:30 reservation without me being able to choose what restaurant. Does anyone know that has purchased the Unlimited Dining Package what happened to them the first night of sailing?

    Thanks!

  3. Thank you, Trainman for taking the time out to write your live review. My sister and I will be on the Serenade on the 23rd and we are truly enjoying reading your review each day.

For Rita’s Cantina, do you need to make a reservation to eat here? I was wondering because we were trying to make online reservations and prepay now, but I do not see Rita’s as one of the choices, so I was wondering. Thank you.

  4. Hello Everyone,

Has anyone in the past been to the Caribbean in December? I will be going to St. Kitts, Tortola, BVI, Roseau, Dominica and St. John’s, Antigua. I was wondering is it still warm or cool in that time of year? My trip is in December, which I am very excited about, and was wondering do I need to wear a sundress or purchase a light jacket. Any information is appreciated. Thanks.

  5. Good Evening Everyone,

I will be sailing on the Serenade of the Seas in December.

    I have two questions:

Has anyone recently been on this ship? How was the condition of the ship?

My second question is does anyone know the email to the maître D on the Serenade or how do I go about obtaining the email to a maître D?

    Thank you!

  6. Every cruise I go on, I watch what I eat by eating fruit for breakfast, salmon for dinner with veggies and avoid the bread basket, but I do treat myself to the occasional Guy Burger and go to the Fish Fry station (Hey, I am on a cruise:D), even with doing these things, I also end up with my legs, feet’s and hands swollen. My legs and feet got so swollen that I could barely walk. I have an upcoming cruise next year and want to avoid this. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  7. Hello, I will be traveling on the carnival breeze this summer and would like to throw a small party in the steakhouse. Not that I want to close the entire restaurant for the evening, but just reserve a table for our party. Is that something you can do on the Breeze? If yes, who can you talk to ahead of time to have this arranged? Any suggestions would be great.:)
