Costco has a whole Rotisserie Chicken for $4.99. That would certainly feed more than ONE PERSON.

What was disappointing with the fish & chips? Looks typical to us. Did they have HP Sauce & Malt Vinegar? The only thing I see missing is the newspaper it is normally wrapped in. LOL

Those of you who found the food to be poor, regardless of menu. Food is very subjective. Where do you eat and what do you like when you are home? Those who feel $100 for a meal is reasonable. What does it cost a cruise line to buy the food & prepare the evening meal per person? Specialty Restaurants are now over $70 pp. They are not as great as they were. Point: food is expensive, people have different tastes. Buffet is OK for breakfast or lunch. Buffet good for those who want to pile their plates ánd run in and out. Where do we go from here? Bring your own food? Prepare it in your cabin? What is the average price per day for a cruise? $150 to $300? That's pretty close to the $100 pp per meal in a restaurant at home. Never seen goose on any cruise ship menu. Has anyone seen IT? Have seen venison. That was very good.

We were on a 22 day Princess Enchanted Med cruise in Nov 2023. That cruise was basically 2 11 day cruises Barcelona to Barcelona. There were 4 formal nights. What we saw and experienced was very few Tux & Gowns. Some suits & dresses. More casual attire. Some people in shorts, jeans and very casual clothes. Been on 9 cruises this year on various cruise lines. Formal is out! A thing of the past. Casual is the thing now. Cruise lines accept what you wear and will not question your style. RCI, CELEBRITY, MSC, NCL & PRINCESS. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

How bad the economy is? If the economy was that bad: why are the ships full, why are people going to the pier and not being able to get on the ship? Why are the restaurants full of people at lunch time? People complain about how high prices are, however, they sure spend money like it comes off of trees! Happy Holidays and Cruising!

Ok, now I understand your opinion. I cruise X, RCI, Princess, NCL, MSC & HAL. No one cruise line provides it all. They all have their pluses & minuses.

Since you addressed NCL. Here is Princess Plus & Premium packages. Please look at what you get. These 2 are will within the $73 - $100 per day on RCI. PLUS the pkgs includes daily gratuities.

Have Cabin Stewart Empty your frig the first day unless you are going to use it. All cruise lines are doing the same thing. Times are changing and not for the better. Price increases on Cabins, Beverage Pkgs, Specialty Restaurants, etc. Happy Cruising!! & Holidays!!!

I know this is an RCI Forum. However, on Celebrity and here, people are complaining about the Beverage Package Prices. I think they both are over priced. JMHO! If people are interested, I will post prices from other cruise lines. When I do, some people get nasty and say 'go cruise that line.' To me, this is what these forums are for. Information, regardless of cruise line. Let the fun begin!

I did the same thing on Celebrity Cruise Critics and they told me to go cruise RCI. They did not want to have X change. People are funning in more ways than one. LOL

If you like 'all in', relook at the things you are getting with Princess' packages. There is no 'all in' with X's pkgs. You only get Drinks and Wi-Fi. I am not talking about Suites or Retreat. Price out the X Pkg and compare to the Princess Pkg.

Celebrity prices on all their drinks are more than the other cruise lines. Now they pushed them out of the packages. X is really pushing & may suffer in the long run.

Why don't you like the Princess packages? That includes tips\gratuities? X used to include tips\gratuities, now it does not. What do you mean by too many add ons? I have used this and it is well worth the daily cost.much cheaper & more for your dollar than any other package I have bought on X or other cruise lines. JMHO!

I'm sure it's an X policy. However, this in MHO is a very poor policy. Staffs should follow Company policy. Regardless, if Staff feels different. That's why we never know what is correct, normal procedure or what to do.

Why is this based on ships rather than being an X line policy applicable to all ships.?

FYI -I finally figured it out. The reason for the price difference. Stupid me! NONREFUNDABLE ($3,947.58) vs REFUNDABLE ($5,607.58) HAPPY HOLIDAYS & CRUISING YES, I'M SHOUTING OUT TO ALL OF YOU. LOL

I have been on many MSC ships since Jan 2006. I must agree with you. Food - lowest of all cruise lines. Guests - very inconsiderate. Ships - beautiful & clean Prices - excellent Service - good MSC is really making a big splash with ask their new ships. Thanks!
