Hi ladies, looking for opinions. Starting to plan outfits for my June msc cruise (I know I'm a little early). Cruised with msc last year & rci the year before that. I found that the msc formal nights are not quite as formal as rci. Could you give me your opinions on the two dresses I have. Sorry I don't have a proper full length of the blue. Many thanks. My new strapless dress just arrived! I bought this White House Black Market dress on Ebay for $19.50 through a "make an offer". I love the purple color and this actually hits the top of my knees. I figure this will be good for summer date nights and the cruise. :)

Thank you , ladies. Hope everyone is doing well.

 

I had a chest cold with ears infection. The doctor gave me three tablets of 500 mg Azithromycin, one a day. That was three days ago; I have not slept since. It is almost 5:00 am. And I am still up.

 

We will arrive in Papeete, Tahiti at 8:00 this morning. We will stay there until 5:00 am tomorrow. And three hours later we will be in Moorea. I guess after nine days at sea, it will be nice to get off the ship :).

 

 

Will post some pictures later.

I will look forward to seeing what's posted. I always want to fancy up my hair, but I'm so bad at it, I just end up happy if it's neat and not frizzy.

I'm the same so my hair either ends up dead straight or pulled into a pony tail.

Ive just ordered a bun that you clip on from ebay so i'll let you know who that does (I'll attempt a picture) as soon as it arrives

Hi folks.

Just looking for any advice on what to do pre cruise.

We arrive on 14th March around 18.00 and our cruise is the next day.

Can anyone advise/recommend where we can go to eat or what we could do that evening.

Don't really want to go shopping as will be tried from the flight.

I'm not sailing the Divina so not sure if there is a difference in what people are doing on that particularly sailing. But normally you'll have 4 formal nights in 2 weeks. I'm assuming you're on 2 back to back cruises rather than one 14 night? There will also be an Italian night each week (red, white and green) and a white party. It's up to you whether you bother with the red, green, white thing or white party - I never do but do dress for formal evenings. Sometimes I wear a long gown but I'm in the minority, sometimes a cocktail dress (far more common).

 

Hopefully someone just returned from the Divina will assist you with what is being experienced onboard on the US sailing.

Oh thank you, I wasn't sure about the other nights (Italian and white party) I think I'll see what space there is in my case before I decide to pack to include those two. I wasn't to sure if long dress would look out of place, but I think I'm just going to go with the longer ones (as I look better in them I think)

Can any one please tell me what the dress code is in the MSC Divina, for dinner including the formal nights.

We will be doing a 14 night in March 2014 and the reviews seemed not to include this information.

I'm still new to posting, the links on my previous post show a black dress Marie sent me with the white one I had requested. I love them both but while the black one fits great and I will wear it on our cruise in Feb. unfortunately the white one is just to tight around my middle. Marie is ok with me offering it here again to someone on this board. I am so excited that I was able to get one of Marie's beautiful dresses for the 1st time and would like to recycle it back to someone who hasn't received a dress from Marie before.

The tag says large but I am a size 6-8 and it fits great but it is very form fitting.

 

Please let me know if you would like the white dress and I will give you my contact info so I can get your address.

I'm getting good at US/UK sizing differences, because I've had to learn it in reverse...I was raised in Canada and have only been here a couple of years now.

 

"Pumps" in the US are "court shoes" here.

The lace over the shoulder is a jacket so can be taken off. The dress is a UK 18 so bust around 107cm.

Mariarose! You did great! I love the first one, it define your beautiful curve. Love it! Since you cannot wear high heels, I would wear it with low heels evening sandal. Pumps or plats would makes it too casual.
