  1. No fee to get cash at the tables on your cruise card. They are so smart to do this. I saw many people sign for cash. Wow! I think that makes it way too easy

You can still use your room card to charge in the machines.

One guy told me that he charged all of his casino play to get the miles on the credit card. Maybe better to buy a ticket???? don't get me wrong, I like to play, but with the cash budget for that trip or their money.

  2. Okay so here was the full schedule for Zumba:

    10/31 8:30am Center Court, 5:00pm Princess Live

    11/1 5:00pm Princess Live

    11/2 8:30am Center Court, 4:00pm Princess Live

Zumba is great at center court.....tight in Princess Live. Last day on the TA...all three instructors came for the final Zumba. It was fantastic. Alice

  3. I was on the Royal TA and noticed something interesting in the elevator and heard of something awful about an elevator.

Interesting.......a fellow held the close door button and the elevator passed every floor. Bad boy????

Awful??? someone called to hold the elevator for someone sight imparted and a guy in the back actually said, "I'm elite.....shut the door.". Can you even begin to believe that???? A word comes to mind, but Cruise Critic might object.

I had a great time on the Royal....loved the crew. Is the ship disfunctual...........for sure. won't do the Caribbean, but the TA was great. Just my humble opinion. Alice

  4. thank you guys for posting the time change for the meet and Greet. I'm in France and don't have the time to read all of this LIVE....but please keep reminding everyone that we are to meet at 10:30, same place and date.

I was shocked that they made such a change and notified me NOW. they were going to put a sign outside of the door of the Vista Lounge.....Oops, it's over.

    Keep reminding. Thanks. Alice

    Pia...have fun.

  5. My experience with Romeinlimo has been nothing but excellent. Take their recommendation when they suggest a guide. We so appreciated the guide in Pompeii, the Vatican, Herculaneum. The drivers have been outstanding, they go above and beyond. We have always thought that they deserve a tip.

If you have specific questions, ask away. I'll be happy to answer.

If you post on the roll call for your cruise, I'll bet lots of people will be happy to join you for a tour. Some people worry that they will miss the ship if they take private tours, a good company like Romeinlimo would not be in business long if their clients missed the boat. They will get you back in time every time.

You will love your tour. Enjoy:):):) Alice

  6. I am such a fan of Romeinlimo. When I come back for more, they treat me like family. I didn't read all of the posts, but wanted to tell you this, if they recommend a guide.......do it. We were going to skip a guide in Cinque Terre and Jani sent us one anyway. Well, without him, we would have been so lost.

Used the Vatican guide, Pompeii and Herculaeum and blessed the day. Please take the guide. Well worth the extra money.

  7. I was in Lido 102 on the Ruby Inaugural and thought it was great. We actually went out on the deck and had a party one sail away. I heard the treadmill once in a while and heard the service door bang closed. The staff used that. I thought it was the door to the outside. The cabin is large and there's tons of storage, a large window. Very nice. Alice

I like the good obstructed cabins on Emerald, too. If someone wants to spring for a balcony for me though, I'll be happy to take it.

  8. I don't have time to read all of this thread, but wanted to tell you how much we have appreciated the services of Romeinlimo. October will be my third time with them and I can't wait.

I was so happy that we pre-ordered the Vatican tickets in advance and had a guide. It's crazy there and we would have been in a line around the block.

A guide is best in Pompeii as well.

  9. I have read where people take an hour long leisurely lunch on this tour but was wondering if that type of lunch rushed you when you were going through the Vatican ? I have read that most get their Vatican tickets for 2 pm and it also takes 2+ hours to see it properly. Are you being rushed if you wait for 2 pm or should you get the tickets for and earlier time and forego a longer lunch ? I do not want to see us jeopardizing getting back to the ship on time. Just wondering what others experiences were on this tour with regards to a longer lunch and if took away from seeing things properly.

We had our Vatican tickets for 1 o'clock and had sandwiches near there at a place recommended by RIL. Don't waste your special tour time doing a big, long lunch that day. Do that on the Amalfi Coast, if you are going there. I'm away right now, but will check in here when I get home to see if I can be of further help. The sandwiches were fantastic and so is Romeinlimo. You are going to LOVE it. Alice

  10. I feel that Lisa is getting a bad rap here. I'm just ready to leave Ruby Princess and she has done a great job. The island night was the best yet and she had a good line up of talent onboard. What is the problem with her? Is it just that she isn't a guy?

  11. I didn't read this entire thread, but wanted to give a huge thumbs up for Romeinlimo. Wow! We just did three ports with them and loved, loved every minute. We took their recommendation for a Vatican guide, good advice, and for the private guide in Pompeii. I've been to Pompeii before, but never had such a personal and great tour. The drivers were all professional, waiting for us when we got off the ship, kept us informed and laughing all day and seemed like old friends. We did Rome, Florence/Siena and Naples/Amalfi/Pompeii.

Pre cruise questions were answered right away. I think Jany lives on the internet. Thanks Romeinlimo--see you next year. Alice

  12. I was in Lido 104 on the Ruby Inaugural cruise. The cabin is large and has a ton of storage. The view isn't bad at all, just a railing outside. You do have to watch because people will walk outside and they can see into the cabin. We had a great party out on that huge deck one night and it was perfect. The location is good, one flight up to the gym or the spa pool. A bit of a hike to horizon court or the elevator.

Now, I did hear the treadmill, especially if someone would run in the morning and the door inside the hall way would bang. I thought that it was the door to the outside, but it was the crew using and inside door that made the noise.

  13. OK After seeing this thread and being curious, I just bought Tim Tams at Giant Eagle grocery store. I took the chocolate, they had caramel, too. They're pretty good. Which flavor do you like the best? I've never been to Australia, but now I've had the cookie. I'm not much of a lover of sweets, but I like to try something new.

  14. I have been on Emerald deck in a partially obstructed view. I think it was the Golden in E425. It was OK. We could see outside over the life boat. The best thing was that it was mid ship and so is the Emerald deck. There were stairs and elevators right near the cabin and one flight down was Promenade deck, my balcony for that cruise. It was fine.

  15. I met a couple on a cruise who were enjoying F & F discount. They said that they always have a blue card. It didn't seem to be a big secret and they cruise often. Airline employees and their families fly free, space available. What's wrong with cruise line employees enjoying a break? I'd love to be a friend of an employee of Princess.
