  1. Would love to hear about your experiences in general. We are getting onboard next April (Easter Sunday) looking forward to having my Easter dinner cooked😉. Wishing you a great and safe trip.
  2. Did you eat in Blu during your cruise and if so how was it. I enjoyed reading your review and as far as I remember you did not mention eating in Blu. I know as a suite guest you are entitled if they have space available. We just won a MoveUp bid from Concierge to Aqua so just curious. Thank you.
  3. Service sounds awful in the MDR and having a drinks package and not being able to get a glass of wine with dinner totally unacceptable😡. Maybe a word with the Food and Beverage Director. I hope the rest of your dinner experiences improves. Love following your travels
  4. Pommery is one of France’s most renowned Champagne houses👍. Your suite looks fabulous very open and inviting.
  5. You could bring your own and just bring down a portion to Blu each morning. I do that and just add to my fruit and Greek yogurt. I use rolled oats for this purpose not jumbo oats.
  6. Just joining and very much looking forward to following along. I did my shopping this morning and Smothered Chicken on the menu tonight 😉. Wishing you both a fantastic new adventure.
  7. That lunch looks amazing…..definitely for me. My husband like DaKahuna wife will only eat them cooked. Had them last week just outside Bordeaux in a seaside town called Arcachon famous for oysters and Dune du Pilat the largest sand dune in Europe. Enjoy the rest of your cruise. I see you are on the same cruise as us in October, hopefully we will get to say hello.
  8. Hopefully you are now safely back in Yokohama. I have enjoyed your wonderful and positive report. It has been so helpful to our upcoming cruise next April. You are all so blessed to be able to travel with your grown up children. Sounds like you all have had a fantastic time together. Safe travels home and I look forward to your final thoughts.
  9. Sorry to hear you are having this difficult due to the weather who would have thought!! Good news you can board in Kobe👍. Keep safe, positive and if possible keep posting you have such a good attitude. We have taken your advise and booked 5 night in Kyoto.
  10. My daughter and three of our grandchildren live in Harrogate so a big shout out for Betty’s Tea Shop. Definitely worth a visit if in the area but be prepared to queue.
  11. Great information that is what we will do and I will continue to practice my chopsticks skills👌
  12. An alternative hotel also in Shinjuku is Hotel Groove, A Parkroyal Hotel. Rooms are big which we like as we are staying 4 nights. We booked including breakfast. Very good reviews.
  13. Villauk, thank you for taking the time to post from your busy schedule. You got off to the great start with your 1st dinner sounds like a lovely evening, I love your description of the chopsticks I better get practicing🤣. How are you all managing the jet lag situation?
  14. Can you please advise the easiest way to get from Osaka airport to Kyoto. All your port DIY information has been amazing. Thank you.
  15. Thank you so much for taking the time to post I really appreciate all your effort. As they say “knowledge is king” and you have given us so much information. We lived in Australia for three years when 1st married many moons ago and visited New Zealand. You know the saying you can’t beat the West of Ireland for scenery but New Zealand did.
  16. We have an 8 hour tour booked with ToursbyLocals for 8 persons it takes in all of what you have recommended and is very reasonable priced. So great to read all your information. Thank you.
  17. What a great day you had. Busan looks amazing. We have a tour booked there and it does include lunch but not Michelin…..that was a super find and everything worked so well for you including the HOHO bus👌
  18. That would be great….no decision yet re lunch maybe you will have some recommendations after your return.
  19. Beautiful photo, I wonder does low tide effect the hi speed Ferry…..I will have to keep an eye on that!
  20. Hiroshima.... the cruise into this region is breathtaking and very unexpected. Quite thought provoking knowing the tragic history of the region. Thank you for this tip we will definitely be on deck for sail in. We arrive at 9 am and depart at 6 pm, we are planning on doing Miyajima Island 1st and then Hiroshima all DIY.
  21. Wish I had your discipline re the gym. Maybe not having a drinks package is helping with those early morning workouts 🤣. We usually have lunch in the MDR on sea days and it can be hit or miss. We enjoy Aqua when the price is right, breakfast in Blu is fabulous. We just put in a MoveUp bid to Aqua for our upcoming October cruise so 🤞
  22. I just contacted Celebrity as we also thought our grants were included in AI. Change came into effect 4th October 2023. We booked onboard on the 19th October 2023.
  23. 🤣🤣🤣 I know the feeling. We have decided not to have a drinks package on our Japanese cruise. We will be Elite Plus by then and will have free coffee in Cafe Al Bacio. Plus if you are Elite you get complementary drinks between 5 and 7. Being such a port intensive cruise I think we will be okay with buying the odd drink along the way. I can’t believe you only got 3 shrimp it was 6 when we started cruising and 4 last October. Your dress is beautiful 🤩
