If I was in charge at Princess, I would have cancelled the current cruise (sorry) and the previous Med cruise so the work could have been completed without paying passengers onboard. The launch of this ship has been somewhat of a disaster. My excitement for the TA is gradually turning to dread. No chance of us cancelling (not that the option has been offered) as the TA is a prelude to a stay in Orlando before we board the ship again for two weeks in the Caribbean.

Not very happy about the continuing Park 19 dismantling. We’re in a penthouse suite on the TA. Will be our first and more than likely last Princess experience given the cost. If we’re presented with the incessant sound of axle grinders whilst ‘relaxing’ in the Sanctuary for 16 days, we will be requesting significant compensation.

Don't forget people who originally booked a Signature Suite were to have their own dedicated Signature restaurant. That is now changing, whilst it's still a dedicated restaurant, it's no longer the promised intimate one but a larger area to be shared amongst many more cabins. Please also bear in mind, the prices for the new Sanctuary Collection seem to have received a significant price increase following the changes so I imagine expectations are going to be even higher.

Hope they’ve finished the dismantling by the TA or we’ll be asking for compensation. We’re in a penthouse suite and, like others have said, don’t fancy relaxing in the Sanctuary with people working overhead the whole cruise.

Intrigued to find out what Star Princess is doing between its last currently published Caribbean itinerary ending 28 March 2026 and its first Alaska cruise on 3 May. Probably not enough time to round South America so must be transiting the Panama Canal 🤔

Haven’t tried MSC cruises - never really fancied them as the ships are too glitzy for my liking.

Very interesting. If this turns out to be true - and I’ve no reason to believe the website that shows this tends to mislead - it means people in these new Sanctuary Class cabins are paying incredibly inflated prices for nothing more than access to the Sanctuary as the truly exclusive dining room is being replaced by a section of the main dining room much like Club Class. So pleased we’re getting to experience the original Signature Suite benefits on the TA before the changes are implemented.

We’re in a Penthouse Suite on the first TA in September. Will be our first TA and our first suite experience. I expect it will also be our last suite experience too, at least on the Sun and Star. With the introduction of the Sanctuary Suites, the prices seem to have gone through the roof. Best we don’t get too settled into the ‘Suite Life’ on the TA as we won’t be able to afford it again 🤣

I assumed the Sanctuary would no longer be available for non-Sanctuary suite guests once the changes start in October. Could be wrong of course.

Shame it’s using a much older ship. Hopefully if it proves to be a success, Princess will use a newer ship in subsequent years.

Whichever cruises eventually go to Israel, I guarantee that I won’t be on them. Plan to spend my holiday money elsewhere, thank you.

These custom cocktails are all well and good if they have the ingredients to make them. They probably will for the first few months before the cocktails become a shadow of what they were. This has been my experience based on Good Spirits when it was first introduced on Sky Princess.

They are usually the same place.

Anyone feel that the double height glass wall on the ‘promenade’ deck is to stop people ‘falling’ overboard? With all other decks with the lower rail, there appears to be another deck below so if someone were to fall, this would be onto the deck rather than the water.

Thanks for sharing. Still no confirmation on whether the menu is the same. I did see a Filet Mignon on the one that was posted higher up in the thread. The breakfast menu certainly looked extensive too so I’m holding out hope that it is better at least.
