Hello Bonedoc2; we too researched the vow renewal with Celebrity. I start by saying here is what their site refers to:
When booking a wedding or a vow renewal, our team will put you incontact with The Wedding Experience, our partners in romance. Simply provideyour Wedding Experience Consultant with your group booking number to startplanning and coordinating the unique moments that can be part of saying "IDo" or "I Still Do" aboard a Celebrity cruise.
Call one of our group specialists
1-888-727-4907
That being said, be careful and read the information you are sent carefully! There are various ceremonies available; some with "an officer" and then the "captain". It is quite ala carte in the planning; flowers, music, photos, 1 8oz glass of champagne for two, do you what ceremony on board or at a special location such as beach while in port. We opted to wait and do renewals on the beach in Hawaii.
Good luck!

Hi fellow cruisers :) I will be sailing on the Summit in July with a group of 22. Many, but not all, know each other. I would like to pre-arrange a meet-n-greet for after we board the ship so everyone can get acquainted. Ship leaves Bayonne at 4:00 pm. I am new to the Summit. Any suggestions as to where and when would be best in order to avoid crowds?
Ask to meet with the Group Coordinator/Event Coordinator on-board. With large groups you may also be able to pre-arrange special events such as casino slot tournament; putting contest; bridge tours, etc.

On the March cruise this year on the Summit, friend of ours were upgraded from oceanview to C2. All done after muster

We called Celebrity and have booked one for Sept cruise.
I will say, we had booked an alcove while on Silhouette last year...just a heads up; the alcove itself was great! However, many, many people came and either sat and or laid on the lawn OR came and played
Croquet so it was very crowded in the alcove area.

Could you post the dailies when you return?
Thanks ahead!

St Lucia: We were in St Lucia last year and had no problems. We took a non-cruise line excursion and went all throughout the island without any safety concerns.
Beautiful!

Does anyone know if we can reserve the cabanas on the Roof Top lounge area?

What are our dining options on Oasis embarkation day? Anything open beyond the Windjammer?

Lipz, what did yo look for on scavenger hunt?

We were on the Majesty in June and they did a 60-70's theme. The party moved from Centrum to upper decks. Lots of fun; great dancing and music!
-
We used Spencer Ambrose tours. Great time with Spencer and his daughter. No problem arriving back in port on time.
-
Has anyone copies of the daily news from the 11 night Panama cruise? Could you share these?
Thanks ahead

Just back from Celebrity Summit, the doors were not magnetic so we used double backed tape. No problem!

We booked 2 Alcoves on the Silhouette. Tip; the Alcove is assigned when you arrive at the Alcove location; so if you want to have the "pick of the litter" go up early the day you have requested OR go up the day ahead and speak with the Alcove attendant. He/she will do their best to accommodate your needs.
We used the Alcove at varied times throughout the 3 days we had them; had 4-6 people at any one time; used the iPad provided in the Alcove and found the experience worth the price.
The attendant provided great service; offered suggestions on other activities and was gracious to take photos in the oversized large adorondack chairs on the lawn.
Enjoy!

Does anyone have the Celebrity Daily News from the San Juan, Barbados, Antiqua, St Maarten, St Lucia cruise? Interested in reading these ahead of our Feb 7, 2015 departure.
Thanks ahead

JB, great review! Would you be able to scan the daily Summit News to share? We depart early Feb and our group would be interested in reading these.
Thanks again,
Maria

We were on Silhouette and the muster was 45 minutes prior to sail away. Muster was actually held in lounges, casino and other non deck areas. No need to go back to cabin to retrieve the lifevest!
Our drill was held in the art gallery and they had large TV's and speakers so we could listen to the drill information. Quick event!

Maria

How did you book you select dining ahead? Could you request a specific time ahead before sailing and still do select?
-
Hope your mother is improving each day!
Thank you for all your time in doing this great review!

We sailed on the Silhouette in Feb 2014 and were able to book 3 cabanas at Nellie's ahead. We called the 800 # and asked to be connected to the "Cruise Enhancement Coordinator" she was great!
Just an FYI, if you are offered a "hillside cabana", beware! You need to have good knees to climb uo and down the "hill". Thus, go for the beach cabanas!
Good luck

Has anyone been on the Celebrity Summit recently and by chance saved the daily News that is left on the beds? We are interested in scanned versions to use as a "preview" for our group.
Thanks ahead!

Kristi, by chance did you save the daily "news" letters from the ship? If so anyway you could scan them in? It would be greatly appreciated!
