I was able to purchase euros online through Travelex and have them delivered to my credit union which will also convert those unused back to US dollars when I get home.

Dryer sheets for static control. Rub one over the full length of your socks to keep pant legs from clinging. Rub one over the seat of your pants if you're sliding in and out of upholstered chairs. Obviously more pertinent for cool weather cruises like mine coming up next week. Use caution with black fabrics.

Looks like I'll be using my Visa ATM card to obtain euros but I'll have a credit card too.

Thanks, seasoned travelers, for the tips. As a first time cruiser on my first trip to Europe I am petrified that I won't find an ATM if I need it in a pinch. I feel secure having some euros in hand from the start but will take your advice if I ever travel abroad again.
