Still looking at cruises for my birthday and came across this one. we have been on westbound transatlantic’s - 2 westbound from Southampton and 1 from Barcelona. While we would love great weather we understand that’s not guaranteed. Especially with this one going in January. Is there a reason the joy is heading to Europe so early in the year? We loved our encore TA. Was trying to find a roll call any feedback for yay or nay? thanks!

Looking at the 1/7/2924 sailing on viva What is the process to get vibe passes and what does that include ? entertainment and specialty restaurants - when we were in the encore TA in 2019, we called to reserve restaurants but had to book entertainment onboard. Still the same process? Thanks!

Following..thanks for posting. Questions on the Princess transfers, do you have to book air with them as well? Do they offer transfers with precruise hotels? Have a wonderful cruise.

@KarmaCruisers thanks so much for doing this live review. Thinking of doing this itinerary in 2025. How did you find the ship? Ncl are offering similar itineraries but on a very old ship. We haven’t been on Princess since 2004 but thinking they would be a better option.

Wow thanks for posting this. My sister moved last year to SC and we have talked about a girls trip to savannah. The JW’s are top on my list of hotels and this looks like a great one.

We had an amazing bar tender “nebo” in maltings on the encore TA in 2019. He said he had a friend on celebrity summit. We went on the summit in nov 2019 and met his friend in the dining room. Would love to know if Nebo is still with NCL.

I’ve never seen security lines as bad as I have in Atl. Even the tsa line When traveling there I always use the 3 hour before rule as you never know. have a wonderful cruise. 😊

Finally saw him this year in Las Vegas. He out on an amazing show. He could sing me the phone book, if they still existed 😆

Other than the bogo and one extra drink ( we buy the drink package), we haven’t really enjoyed d+ in a very long time. Once they changed up the lounge access, we started cruising celebrity in addition to rccl. Diamond is a pretty good level to have as is elite on celebrity. Will never reach pinnacle.

Wow! That’s a long time. Did you cruise a lot before Covid?

The only thing I would want to change on the edge class would be he martini bar. I prefer the Martini bar on the s class Great experience and better positioned.

It’s less than 10 minutes up 17 from me. Love a good diner. Will have to try it

Thanks for your feedback. Kitchen aid was on the top of my list until a friend mentioned she just bought a Bosch during her home renovation and loves it. We had a very good kenmore dishwasher 20 years ago and worked terrific. We then got a ge and it was awful and ended up useless. We still have our kenmore refrigerator, ge stove and microwave for just over 20 years so I guess we have been lucky with them. Would like the new ones to match up but not sure on what to do.

Have heard good things about Bosch. Transatlantic cruises are so great If doing the westbound, close to our symphony TA in 2018. Good prices as well

@singinalot Really? We are just starting to do research on replacing all kitchen appliances. Would be very interested in recommendations. next cruise? 😊

The carnival ships imo have the most gaudy interiors - cheap 80’s Las Vegas. However, I have seen pictures of a couple of the newer ships and their interiors are far superior and modern. Even the cabins are nice.

Robyn ,if you haven’t been on the edge class yet, you are in for a treat. Our first cruise back from Covid 9/2021 was the edge and we were blown away with how beautiful the ship was. Total passengers being 900 didn’t hurt either but fabulous cruise/ship. We bounce between celebrity and rccl now.
