  1. @CruisingHogFan thanks for advising as our next cruise is now offering the 35%.
  2. @bobmacliberty looks lovely. We never been. Aruba is always our land based vacation choice. How was the food?
  3. @ckrobyn it has been a no cover change breakfast option on every oasis class cruise we have been on from 2010 through 2023.
  4. @dshefter That’s disappointing. We were able to book specialty restaurants prior to our cruise on the encore then booked all entertainment (including comedy shows) once onboard first day (11/2019). Any reason they are no longer allowing this? Thanks!
  5. @dshefter thanks so much for posting. Looking at this same cruise next year. shows - ncl does not allow you to book any of them pre cruise? specialty restaurants - is pre cruise reserving allowed if no status with ncl?
  6. @MeganGC1983 thanks again for taking us along. We have sailed quite a few times out of San Juan and love the itineraries for sure. Have you looked at the new ncl viva? We are looking at trying next feb mar. A port everyday and ncl docks in havensight so there’s a plus.
  7. @ONECRUISER thank you for your service and stepping up as a single dad. Just amazing. 😊
  8. So I have a 12 night Norway cruise with a two night precruise stay in Amsterdam planned for may 2024. I usually use insuremytrip right before final payment for cruise and land on what I consider a good plan with pretty hoping medical and evacuation benefits. However, with this trip and much higher cost for cruise/air/hotel/tours, I am wondering if I shiuld just insure the tours and get medical. Have never submitted anything through credit cards so not sure if it truly works out any recent experiences or recommendations would be appreciated. thanks!
  9. @Jazzbo@GenerationX most definitely but even more so, terrific wife and super mom and at the same time can hold it down with the best of them and have a great time.
  10. @DaKahuna Our go to pre cruise hotel has been the Renaissance. However, that room you have is head and shoulders above the renaissance. Although, we do like the convenience to port and restaurants.
  11. @MeganGC1983 club soda with lime? 😊
  12. @MeganGC1983 La concha. Expensive but good pre cruise stay in condado. We had the pleasure of staying there again on United’s tab due to flight cancellation back in November 2023. Good restaurant - serafina
  13. The only ncl ship we have been on was the ta encore back in 2019. We loved the cruise and ship. Worried about inside space given recent comments on this class of ship. We love the itinerary and are pretty easy going but do like to be able to book shows and specialty restaurants. Any tips or suggestions you may have to share would be greatly appreciated.
  14. Looks very nice. 😊
  15. @JinxyB any chance you will be doing a live or review when you get home? Haven’t found any reviews on viva from SJ and looking at next march. Thanks!
  16. @MeganGC1983 huge thank you!😊
  17. @MeganGC1983 super excited to see another live from you. Again wishing you safe travels, terrific weather, smooth seas and Amazing cocktails. 🍸 question, if you don’t mind, what did you use as an adapter/converter for your electronics in Greece last year? Yes, should have asked then but need to buy something before our European cruise in may. Thanks!
  18. We have been diamond plus on rccl for a while. Most recent rccl cruises were harmony in January 2023 (oasis class is our favorite) and the jewel in November of 2023. We are going back on the jewel in may of this year specifically because of the itinerary ( Norwegian fjords and arctic circle). main dining on our last few cruises on rccl was just ok. For us, we cruise mostly on rccl for entertainment and ship. Since we have seen most of the shows multiple times, it is now less important to us. However, we have had many terrific cruises on rccl and were very loyal for a long time. We do like celebrity and have cruised with them 6 times and will in September on silhouette. We select cruises now based on itinerary and cost.
  19. Beautiful cabin except for that dreaded shower curtain.
  20. Looking at cruising in the viva next march. Haven’t seen any reviews from San Juan. Thanks!
