Princess has been doing this for quite a while. Every so often someone will post this tip, which is good. Helps people get the cabin they want. I usually call my PVP and she takes care of it. So, what is the hurry? These long wait times are a bi-product of Covid. As long as the claim has been assigned, it will get processed eventually.

I imagine the show will attract a lot of new customers.

It appears that once you get to actually booking a cruise, the refundable deposit required may be much higher than $1.00. For example, bookings on the new Sun Princess still require $800.00 deposits. While most cruises are $1.00 deposits, many are not even though it says so on the cover page.
