How often do they change in the Caribbean? If at all? I am not really into staying on ships on port days but some of these places get a bit predictable.

I like the idea of going on a cruise to the fjordes and I am looking for advice on how to combine that with photo tours without using an expensive tour company, I read here of people hiring a car at the ports and doing there own thing? I suppose a lot of pre planning would be involved? I am pretty good at driving on both sides.

The main advantage of buying the flight directly with Celebrity is that you don't have to pay for the flight upfront (in case that flight price changes) you'll have until next year May or June till you need to make the final payment. I was under the impression that you are protected if there was an issue with the flights!! I would never include transfer as well, done that once & it was a pain in the butt.

Your premium drink package covers all the drinks at the Martini Bar and most at the World Class Bar.

 

Be sure to try the Zacapa Old Fashioned that is at the World Class Bar.

 

At the Martini Bar, ask for your martinis to be made with Christiana vodka. It is from Norway and is super smooth. They typically use Grey Goose vodka but Christiana is so much better.

Thanks, as we don't go on any M class ships it probably wont be much of an upgrade to us personally but I can see why a better location could be beneficial to others.

Can somebody please explain the difference between concierge class and standard balcony as there seem to be a jump in prices. Thanks

Do you have to right the day off if the ship stops at a port on Christmas day, I thinking Caribbean islands! it seems a shame that its not a sea day if thats the case.

I have been on a couple of Celebrity Caribbean 11+ day cruises and looking for a comparable Princess ship for a different experience. We are interested in the Princess itineraries and a change of scenery as we are used the Celebrity. We are not tied to any cruise lines so we are free to shop around.

Going on the Eclipse in a few weeks with the classic package on a 14 night cruise and would like to know the cost per day to upgrade to the Premium package. We don't have any OBC.

I would say Ocho Rios, the obvious attraction which is very close by to the port is the Dunns River Falls and then you can get some local food if your interested. If your not comfortable you can always just get back on the ship. On a safety level you just need to be sensible like you would anywhere else. It would be a shame not to experience the island on other people's own experiences whom you may not know.

I will be travelling on the Eclipse to the Caribbean in a months time, wondering if there was a main dining room menu available? I have been on the ship before but not for a while so I imagine not much has changed. We do like to go to a few speciality restaurants as well or if we can't be bothered to get dressed up we'll happily eat in Ocean View.

Doing a cruise in November and was wondering how easy is it to get on organised tour straight of the ship without pre booking them with a cruise line or tour company in advance? Can I do it once arrival at the port? not looking for a private taxi but more of a group tour.

Has anyone book this tour direct with Celebrity before? was curious to find out a bit more about it from a personal point of view from people of have actually been on it. I am looking to pre book some excursions whilst I am on the cruise this time whilst my partner does her beach thing. What times do the excursions normally start in the mornings?
