  1. Unfortunately I had to cancel a cruise recently but had Princess Platinum insurance. I received a monetary back from Princess, cruise credits from Aon and I had also used gift cards to pay, and that money was put back on the gift cards. The only thing I am out is the cost of the vacation protection. I am very satisfied with how it was handled.
  2. Thanks, I stay at the Hilton Marina and have never noticed shuttle service. I'll verify next time I stay there.
  3. Thanks for the quick response, I will check them out. When the port is busy it can be a nightmare just even trying to get a cab, let alone bell service from the hotel.
  4. Thank you for your review. Can you say what car service you used for your drive to Port Everglades? Thanks.
  5. I believe you have to go to the Captains Circle desk and ask for one. As I like to collect Princess memorabilia I'm glad to add it to the collection, but I do not wear it.
  6. I wish all the men would dress up! You look so handsome in a suit and tie!
  7. Thanks, I'm thinking it might be in Estrella, and I'm going to sign up for the Wine Makers dinner based on all of the recent feedback, hopefully I'll get selected! Thanks for the feedback.
  8. Did you happen to notice what restaurant Club Class was in? Thanks.
  9. Very glad it worked out, and I would never suggest that anyone work the system.
  10. The correct address is customerrelations@princesscruises.com. Also, did you take out Princess' insurance? If so maybe you could get one day reimbursed under the trip interruption clause, just an idea.
  11. I would see the Maitre d' on embarkation day at the times posted in the patter. If Generoso Mazzone is still the Maitre d' I am sure he would do his utmost to accommodate you.
  12. Two times I've changed my mind about excursions while on board. The Shore Excursion desk said I'd missed the deadline for a refund but if I gave them my tickets they would try and resell. Both times my tickets were resold, so there is always the chance that someone might do the same on the excursion you want.
  13. And then there are the housekeeping carts that block the hallways. I have permanent damage to my sensory balance system resulting in a 45% loss of balance on my left side, which requires me to use a walker off and on, depending on how I'm feeling. There is no way my walker can pass the housekeeping carts, rather I have to lift it up to get it over the wheels of the housekeeping carts. So I imagine this is even more frustrating for those in scooters.
  14. Thank you! I've never understood why some posters feel the need to bully and mock. But fortunately, they are in the minority.
  15. I have no idea if Cunard drops the ball as the last time I contacted that dept. it was handled through Holland. Like I said, I was just passing on info that was new to me but not maybe new to others.
  16. I just sent a request to the access department and the autoreply was from Princess/Cunard. It used to be under the Holland America umbrella. I wonder if Princess' other back offices are now in the Cunard group. Not earth shattering news, or maybe not even interesting to most, but I thought I'd pass it along.
  17. Thanks, I know where that is at. I'll be staying at the Hilton Marina on 17th so should be an easy walk. Enjoy the rest of your cruise.
  18. Do you remember the name of the nail salon? I'd like to get a mani when I'm in Lauderdale for my upcoming cruise on the Sky, thanks.
  19. I've received two comp upgrades simply by calling and politely asking for it. But that was many moons ago. They do not do that anymore, rather offer upsells, and even those are computer driven based on inventory and demand.
