  1. Looks like requirements aren’t beIng lifted anytime soon. I received an email from Azamara yesterday advising the following for our August 6th cruise: Azamara Testing Requirements To strive for a COVID-19 free environment, guests will be required to provide a negative COVID-19 test upon embarkation. The COVID-19 test can either be: PCR: Test date no older than three days prior to embarkation; OR Antigen: Test date must be within one day of embarkation For Guests that cannot present a negative COVID-19 test upon embarkation testing is available in the terminal or on the boarding deck for $59 USD.
  2. Then he wouldn’t have achieved what he set out to do! Like clickbait. I feel the same about most of his titles (and videos!)
  3. You should contact Az directly and enquire about a transfer as they will certainly have to provide them for those already booked before the change.
  4. Folks, this thread is about Luminae - not Celebrity vs other lines I understand that threads can get derailed but perhaps it would be better to start a new thread on the topic so this one can get back to the original subject, which is the one I’m interested in.
  5. We came up against the same with Azamara for our August cruise. Because Ravenna had become the disembarkation port before we booked, Azamara’s position is that we would have been aware of this so it would be our own responsibility to make our own arrangements. As our flights have been arranged as a package Az are charging us for the transfer from Ravenna to Marco Polo airport, Venice. For some reason, they’re only charging what it would have cost to go from Venice port to the airport - €55 pp.
  6. We have one of those booked but have put in a bid for a CC. We won’t be too disappointed if it is rejected as we’re very happy with what we have and we get a lot of the perks, too.

    OBC?

I seem to be only able to use the ‘excursions’ OBC to prebook excursions only.
  8. Update: We were given another opportunity last night to bid for an upgrade (which we are currently considering).
  9. Thanks, Ivi. We’re anticipating spending some evenings in the cabin as Az entertainment may not be ‘our thing’. We would enjoy getting some room service and having drinks while watching a movie on some nights.
  10. On the ‘Review by Gary Bembridge’ thread it was noted that Gary mentioned that on demand movies were “still included “. However, a poster (@harbourside) pointed out that there was a charge for these. Can anyone confirm if that is the case and, if so, what is the charge?
  11. According to the bidding page on the website we’re now departing from Nicosia, Cyprus. 🤣🤣
  12. I first received an email advising the following: Due to a change in your reservation, we have cancelled your existing Azamara Upgrade offer(s). If you are still eligible to bid for any upgrades, you'll receive a new invitation email within the next 24 hours.
  13. OBC would have been better.
  14. Azamara is offering FCC of between $200 and $500, depending on cabin category booked, as compensation. “In order to alleviate the changes made to the itinerary, all guests booked on this voyage prior to June 3rdwill receive a Future Cruise Credit of $250 per stateroom for insides and oceanviews, $300 for verandas, and $500 for suites. This Future Cruise Credit will be available once your voyage has completed and can be redeemed on a new Azamara voyage. This Future Cruise Credit is only available to guests that remain booked and complete their voyage
  15. Dock renovations is the reason given, Ivi.
  16. The length of the cruise hasn’t changed. Our embarkation port is now Noce instead of Genoa, so doesn’t adversely affect the itinerary. I can’t understand why the bid was cancelled in this instance.
  17. Update: Just received an email informing us of a change in our embarkation port which explains why our bid offer was cancelled. Hopefully we’ll be given another opportunity to bid on a CC.
  18. Thank you - much appreciated! I’d put in quite a low bid and had considered upping it to around $1000 (I was bidding in Euros) as I’ll be celebrating a milestone birthday and thought of splurging. However, I received the email from Az cancelling the offer shortly after posting. We could dine every night in the SRs and it would still be cheaper than the $1000 I was considering. We have most of the other perks (apart from the butler and more space).
  19. Journey, August 6th. They say the following: Due to a change in your reservation, we have cancelled your existing Azamara Upgrade offer(s). If you are still eligible to bid for any upgrades, you'll receive a new invitation email within the next 24 hours.
  20. I’ve just received an email from Azamara advising me that my bid has been cancelled due to a change in my reservation. I haven’t made any changes to my reservation.
  21. How much would it be worth to bid for a CC from a P1? Apart from a butler and larger cabin, the only other benefit would be speciality dining.
  22. Thank you for that. I’d read before that a tax is charged when sailing in Spanish waters (though not on MSC ships). We were charged on NCL. I just wish the crew would mention it when a purchase is being made - it can be a deciding factor when considering whether to buy, or upgrade, a drinks package, for example.
  23. That would certainly be a lovely way to travel home. 😁 Divina is a great ship, too. I love the Fantasia-class ships.
  24. Hi Sue. Thank you for your kind words. Which TA are you considering. We have one on Europa ending at Genoa, too. Hoping Ryanair will be flying to Dublin then. Bea
  25. We thought we’d never fly Ryanair til we had no choice last year when our Aer Lingus flights, booked through MSC, were swapped out. Well, we were very pleasantly surprised by our experience and would have no hesitation flying with them again.
