    Cool Cruiser
  1. You could be very right about the sit down Johnny Rockets. I guess it would be dumb to have two of the same restaurants on one ship. I have never been on Royal. After a disastrous Celebrity cruise last year, I’m definitely ready for a change!
  2. As far as I know, the Johnny Rockets Expess will be for fee. The sit down restaurant will remain on the ship as well. I am on the April 26th sailing....only 103 days to go!
  3. I am on the April 26th sailing as well! Also booked a promenade view room on deck 7 lol. Roll call is pretty quiet, but I’m looking forward to the cruise! Sent from my iPad using Forums
  4. Thanks for the responses. There are four of us traveling. We are staying in Fort Lauderdale pre-cruise. I wouldn’t dare fly in on embarkation day lol. I will definitely look into other options. I absolutely detest driving into Miami, so a rental car is out of the question... Sent from my iPad using Forums
  5. Before I call RC (because we all know what a nightmare that can be), can anyone provide me with the per person cost of the shuttle service that Royal provides? It would be from Fort Lauderdale airport to port of Miami. Thanks! Sent from my iPad using Forums
  6. To the OP: I did a double take when you mentioned Clifton Hill. I am from, and still live in, Niagara Falls. I would take 42nd street over Clifton Hill any day! 🤪 Sent from my iPad using Forums
  7. I didn’t realize that there was a fee for room service. My mother often stays on the ship while the rest of my family is in port. Most of the time she will order room service for lunch. She usually tips generously, but maybe not this next cruise lol. I guess we have been spoiled by Celebrity’s free room service 🤪 Sent from my iPad using Forums
  8. The casino royale rep basically said the same thing to me, in regard to the Navigator of the seas. Large casino with x number of slot machines and x number of table games, and it feels very much like you’re in Vegas! Sent from my iPad using Forums
  9. So does this mean that the “amped” ships will have all the amenities highlighted in green at the bottom?? Sent from my iPad using Forums
  10. I know I’m kinda hijacking this thread by asking, but do all RCI ships have the freestyle machines?? Sent from my iPad using Forums
  11. Hey all, has anyone had experience with obtaining a reward from MyVegas and successfully using it? When I booked my cruise last Monday, I jumped right on the MyVegas app and snagged a 10% off reward. I called and spoke to a rep at Casino Royale and she verified with me that it would be processed within 48 hours and I would be sent new cruise documents via email. As of this morning I hadn’t received any email so I gave a call back. The gentleman I spoke to put me on a brief hold and then returned to say that Royal wouldn’t be able to process the reward because I booked in Canadian funds. Seemed a bit odd to me, but I wasn’t going to push the matter. I then asked if I canceled this reward, I would then be okay to get another one - like the $100 on board credit. He said yes and then actually went to verify that both my spouse and I could redeem a reward each for on board credit. I’m currently in the process of trying to cancel the current reward, since it won’t let me do it myself in the app or on a pc. I’m not holding out hope that if I do get the on board credit reward, that I will actually receive the on board credit lol... Sent from my iPad using Forums
  12. I don’t know if this helps or means anything, but when I log into my cruise planner (for my upcoming Navigator cruise), I am able to make a reservation at Jamie Oliver’s Italian restaurant. I don’t believe this restaurant is currently on the ship - as I can’t find it on any deck plans... Sent from my iPad using Forums
  13. Thanks for all the responses. Our last cruise (on Celebrity) wasn’t all that great, unfortunately. Hoping that Royal will get me back on track, and make me love cruising again! Any pro tips I should know about the Navigator? Sent from my iPad using Forums
  14. Just booked the 4/26/19 sailing on the Navigator of the Seas! This will be our first RCI cruise; after having done Carnival, Princess and Celebrity. Looks as if the ship will be in dry dock in the beginning of next year. I am excited to see what changes will be made. It’s still 260 days away, but I’m already looking forward to it! 15. Two cabins with two pax in each. My mother will be in the other cabin, along with my son, so definitely don’t want connecting cabins lol Sent from my iPad using Forums
