In addition were my bouquet supplies as I am using one I made rather than the supplied and the boutinierre/mother's pins supplies.

  2. I am getting married on Sunday, when I talk to the wedding coordinator they offer to set up any extras I want to bring. We are just bringing programs and menus. Also we are not using the roses or boutinierre they supply. Instead I made a brooch bouquet so that all of my friends could contribute and be part of our day and I made Kilt Pin boutinierres for the men along with brooches for our mothers and my father's girlfriend. Many bring extra shells or silk flowers, cake toppers, etc. It is all about what you want to carry on and clean up.

We are doing the Let Us Serve you package with just our immediate family. Our friends are sailing with us but not attending the ceremony.

    O. M. G. - you're down to like 5 days now, right?! How freaking exciting!!!!!! I'm beaming with excitement for you!

I'm so excited to come back next week and hear that one of us has been married - and hear the stories and see the pictures (after you've had time to come home and relax of course). :D

Sorry to hear your brother's ex has become so difficult. However it sounds like she made her decision so that takes the weight off of you.

I am SO ready! I have everything packed except my hair straightener and brush! And of course my gown has to be put into the gown bag so I can carry it on. Trying to avoid a few extra wrinkles by waiting until the last minute. The same with my fiance's suit and tux shirt. I think he still has to pack his socks and underwear, I bought all new for the trip lol I bought the cards for the tips last night and a set of bows to decorate our cabin door with. We will be at the port in 4 days, one hour and 31 minutes! But who's counting lol

  4. Hi ladies!

Congrats on all the upcoming weddings! I'll be getting married on the Carnival breeze at port in Grand Turk October 16th 2015 :)

I have a question, have any of you ladies had any luck finding color cordniated silk bouquets online? My colors are green and brown and I can't find anything to match.

Have you tried afloral.... I think that's the name. They sell real touch silks.

  5. Hello everyone! Im probably going to be MIA for a bit. We just were told we have to relocate from Boston to Orlando, Florida by the end of Feb. It's a company transfer but that has me freaking out a bit because of everything going on. I'm glad I didn't buy my plane tickets yet lol. I have so much I have to figure out and I'm not sure how everything is going to work out, but it has to. I also have a lot of traveling for work...these next 3 months are going to be tough!! I gotta find out about the alterations for my dress and how long those take because I'm supposed to do a fitting beginning of feb. If it's going to take longer than a few weeks, I might have to hold off until I get to Florida. But then that will be about 1 month out. So much to do before then...

    UGH so stressed out!!!

Good news: we paid off our cruise last week :) so that is definitely happening lol.

Well hang in there, it will all come together. My friend was able to get her dress altered the week before her wedding.... she kind of planned last minute. So know that a good bridal shop or seamstress could do it quickly.

  6. Thanks ladies. I can honestly say my only nerves relate to traveling with our dress/suit and getting the add ons to my bouquet in before the wedding since my mother has it and I have gotten more brooches since I shipped it.

  7. Tell her to pack for a beach get away and a nice evening out to dinner while away. :)

HAVE FUN! We will be on the 25th-29th cruise after we get married shipboard on the 25th! I'll make sure the Sensation stays in one piece for ya! :)

  8. I saw this on John Heald's blog and even made a comment about it. A lot of people were commenting on the photo packages being too pricey. Let's hope they listen, go digital and green and catch up to technology.

Definitely, I would love to be able to buy just a CD of our pictures and not have to buy all the preprinted pictures. With a photo release I can print as many prints of the pictures I buy as I want. So let me buy a CD and save Carnival the money of printing them. :)

  9. Carnival has a new photo package they are offering for ship board pictures... one can only hope some of these prices could make the wedding prices go down instead of up. However it does bode well for getting some nice shots on your cruise in addition to the wedding shots for a better price.

  10. I consider it no different than a land wedding. If I would tip them for a wedding at home I will tip for this wedding. We are planning very conservative tips for the wedding coordinator and the officiant since they will not have much to do for our small group. I've made no real special requests other than a table for programs at the ceremony and to have our menus places on the table. So i am planning $20-30 each

The photographer will be tipped about $40 assuming I get the poses i am asking for. The servers will be $20 each. They will be the ones who have to be bothered with us the longest and I know they are working a shift that prevents them from being able to go ashore for personal things that day.

  11. HI Ladies,

    Bride's mom here -

My daughter has wanted a Bahama beach sunset wedding since our family's Millennium trip to the Atlantis. We would like to book the wedding ceremony followed by cake and champagne at the same location and then return to the ship for dinner. We are leaning toward RCL Enchantment or Majesty.

    Does anyone have preferences?

Does anyone have suggestions for a Bahama location in addition to the Atlantis?

or recommendations for a Bahama Island wedding planner?

thoughts or concerns about issues that we have not thought about?

    J-

Lacy is right about the residency requirement. If you want an excellent review from someone who did a lot of research, this thread will be helpful:
