  1. The "waves" towel is described by Royal Caribbean as large and plush, my question is is it actually plush or just a standard thin beach towel? In other words would it make a useful souvenir or just more tat to find a home for?
  2. I found this voucher today too. I wondered if it was a special Latitudes cruise like a themed thing but obviously not. When I clicked on it it came up with the itinerary and said that it was modified so I don't know what it was before but it looks quite nice now.
  3. Thank you @BirdTravelsfor publishing these menus
  4. Just a quick update: the rose petal package does not include any rose petals just the wine, glasses and petit fours. All very nice but I was hoping for the rose petals since it would have been more romantic
  5. Thank you for your quick reply, I'm pleased to hear that, the happy couple should like it
  6. My son is going on his honeymoon on the MSC Musica tomorrow and we booked the Rose Petal Package for him hoping there would be rose petals scattered on the bed or at least on the tray but the description does not have them on the list of what is included. Does anyone know if rose petals are included or is it just a misleading name?
  7. I can't believe that they didn't just cancel my booking or leave me on the Grandiosa at least it is still going from Barcelona (our closest home port). I have written to my TA asking them to look into it and come back with options
  8. I booked a cruise for April 16th, 2023, going on MSC Grandiosa from Barcelona to Southampton but now when I log on to the MSC website it shows me as booked on the MSC Virtuosa from Hamburg to Southampton instead. According to the travel agent's website I am still on Grandiosa from Barcelona presumably there is a glitch on the MSC system or my cruise is cancelled and MSC just haven't got around to telling me or the travel agent yet. Does anyone here have any ideas what's going on?
  9. How do you get the certificate? Do you just upload a photo of your negative test and your passport?
  10. I live in Spain and get the EU website in English through https://www.ncl.com/fr/en/ I hope this helps
  11. Hi all I am thinking of booking a cruise for next year (US market) but I don't know who I am going to take with me. If I book with a non-refundable deposit can I change the name of my guest prior to final payment?
  12. There is a discount for under 25s but I don't know about over 65s
  13. Someone on YouTube also said that Red Bull was included, can anyone confirm?
  14. Our booking was updated. Our fabulous 1108 (4D) was replaced with 7536, a mid ship balcony with an adjoining cabin (5D). So we were downgraded, moved down 4 decks and generally got an unacceptable cabin. I called them and tried to swap to a better cabin but was told there was nothing available so it was a fait acomplis. I told them to shove it
  15. Beautiful, forward facing balcony cabins on deck 11
  16. Dear Guest, The International Maritime Organization recently shared new speed regulations we must adhere to and as a result, we’ve repositioned some of our ships for our upcoming 2023/2024 season. Our original plan for Voyager of the Seas was to offer sailings departing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida through November 4th, 2023, and Orlando (Port Canaveral), Florida beginning November 10th, 2023. Instead, Voyager will now sail from Galveston, Texas beginning May 9th, 2023. Adventure of the Seas will now take Voyager’s place in Florida and will offer similar itineraries! Starting July 28th, 2022, we’ll automatically move you to the new Adventure of the Seas sailing departing on the same day as your original Voyager of the Seas cruise. You’ll receive like-for-like accommodations onboard Adventure of the Seas, and your amenities will remain the same. Your vacation is important to us. While we’re confident you’ll have an amazing time onboard Adventure and enjoy many of the same features as Voyager, we still want you to have the flexibility to make the best decision for you and those in your party. Below, we’ve outlined your options along with a few additional details. Option 1: Stay onboard the new Adventure of the Seas cruise. We’ll automatically move you to the Adventure of the Seas sailing departing on the same day as your original cruise. So, there’s nothing for you to do! Your new sailing will still offer the same beautiful ports of call as your original cruise, and it’ll depart from the same destination. We’ll move you to a like-for-like stateroom and your original stateroom category price will either be protected at your original cruise fare rate or reduced to the current cruise fare rate (whichever is lower). This excludes taxes, fees, gratuities, and other non-cruise fare items. If your booking was already paid in full and your cruise fare rate decreases, we’ll provide you with a refund for the difference. You can expect to receive your refund to your original form of payment within 14 business days after we move you. Kindly note, refund times may vary depending on your financial institution. Option 2: Re-book any other Royal Caribbean International sailing. If you prefer to re-book another sailing, we’ll waive any non-refundable deposit change fees. Please know, you’ll be responsible for any difference in pricing for your cruise fare, taxes, fees, gratuities, and other non-cruise fare items. If your booking was already paid in full and your cruise fare rate decreases, we’ll provide you with a refund for the difference. You can expect to receive your refund to your original form of payment within 14 business days after we move you. Kindly note, refund times may vary depending on your financial institution. Option 3: If you can’t find a new itinerary that works for you and choose to cancel, we’ll be sad to see you go. You’ll receive: A full refund of any paid portion of your cruise fare (including non-refundable deposits) and any pre-paid amenities to the original form of payment within 14 business days – some international banking and financial institutions may have a processing time of approximately 30 business days. If you used a Future Cruise Credit on this sailing, and you request a refund instead, we’ll refund any NEW funds paid above the certificate amount, and we’ll reinstate your original certificate. If you booked your airfare through Royal Caribbean International, it will be automatically refunded to you. However, if you booked on your own, please contact the service provider directly for your options with them. Please know, if you choose this option, we will not provide additional compensation. Please note, any Cruise Planner purchases for your original Voyager of the Seas sailing will automatically be cancelled and refunded to your original form of payment. Feel free to re-book these items on your new ship and sail date. There are a lot of moving parts when it comes to shifting an entire season of sailings and rebooking all guests, so we ask for your patience as we work to make this process as easy as possible for you. All moves will be completed by August 18th, 2022, and we’ll send an updated reservation confirmation with your revised details to the email address on file as soon as your reservation has been completely updated with the pricing fully adjusted. If you decide to go with Option 2 or 3, please call us at 888-281-9344 or contact your Travel Advisor by August 18th, 2022. And know, hold times may be longer than usual. If we haven’t heard from you by August 18th, 2022, you’ll remain booked on the alternate Adventure of the Seas sailing.
  17. We just received an email that our booking on Voyager will be the same date and itinerary but on the Adventure. Generally it's the same ship but our cabin doesn't exist on Adventure OTS. We were booked in to 1108 on Voyager which is a cabin at the front of the ship with a huge wrap around balcony and there just isn't one of those on Adventure :(. Given that all the forward facing cabins on Adventure are ocean view only (no balcony) I will be disappointed if we are just moved to a standard balcony even though it is the same category. Do you think we should be asking for an aft facing balcony instead?
  18. Looking at July's offer it says that "Past guests get standard Latitudes points" does that mean that you won't get the bonus point?
  19. We are on this cruise with you. Last September we were on NCL Epic shortly after you and we have also booked our first MSC cruise so we were interested to read your review on Virtuosa. I feel like I have been stalking you for a while lol My son has just got of Pride after a 10 day Mediterranean cruise so I have been given the low down on how it is at the moment. I sailed on Pride in 2018 so I am familiar with the ship and the CD Felipe was on our Sunrise cruise in November I think. My son did tell me to attend Felipe's port guide talks because he gives lots of useful information, I assume he will be doing them for our cruise too He also raved about two things: Guys burgers and chocolate melting cake See you on board, Gail
  20. We applied to the Spanish site, I guess you did your application on the UK site, maybe that is the difference. Good luck with it there are some bargains available at the moment so book first and then apply your membership number when you get it, the price will be adjusted accordingly See you on the Carnival Pride on 10th June 😎
  21. I submitted my son's and had a response within the hour.
  22. My son booked his MSC cruise then got his status match and then called to get his Voyager club number added to the booking, he got the 5% discount applied to his total cabin cruise fare. Obviously he did not get the discount on the port taxes
  23. I have been on 4 cruises in the last 8 months: 1 from Barcelona (masked), 2 from Miami (1 masked 1 not) and a TA from NY (not masked). On all cruises there was a small percentage of passengers that tested positive but we were not affected. We kept our distance from people, we normally avoid crowds anyway so that was easy. The only time that you couldn't socially distance was in the elevators. I am happy taking the risk, I am doing another cruise from UK next month but I am fully vaccinated and boosted with no underlying conditions. In your position I would have to consider my position carefully. If you do decide to go I am sure you will have a great time but it may be a different experience to previously. In the dining rooms/restaurants make sure you tell the person assigning seating that you are immuno compromised and request a table away from others, it won't be a problem because the ships are not full. In the theatre choose seats on the right or left right at the end of the row so people are not walking past you rather than in the popular, crowded centre section. Arrive late to the comedy club and duelling pianos so you can assess the crowds and decide whether or not to go in. I do hope this helps
