Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Our cruise departs tomorrow and I just received an email saying my bid was not accepted:( We’re happy with our cabin, just wanted to report Princess did notify it wasn’t accepted the day before departure.
  2. I also sent mine in on May 4th and have only received the automatic email response saying it may take up to 21 days to process. I happened to look in my account yesterday and the OBC was already in there. I never got an email alerting me my request was accepted. So check your account in the next few days.
  3. Yes, Reserve Mini’s were showing they were sold out about a month ago. But there were quite a few Premium Suites and Penthouse Suites available up until last week, along with quite a few regular mini suites. Some time last week all cabins above inside were posted as sold out, essentially overnight. So I’ve been thinking that there would still be a chance that those in Reserve Minis could bid on the full suites and Reserves could open up. BTW, I just checked my bid, in my account and it still showed pending. I was able to modify it by adding $5 pp. I moved the dial from weak to fair. Probably won’t make a difference but it was worth a try to me. One more thing I noticed, all of the suites in my original bid offer have had the starting bid offer reduced a bit. For example, the Premium Suite was from $840 pp in my first email at 85 days from departure and it is now $745 pp. Just a few reasons to hold out hope on your bid, fingers crossed…
  4. We are about 10 days out from embarkation and I just received an email that says “we have a counter offer for you.” It says they have reviewed my offer and cannot accept it. It was for a Reserve Mini Suite, from a regular Mini, for $160 pp. Which was on the low end of the range I was given for a bid. One of the options I had was to bid on a Penthouse Suite for $990 per person. This “counter offer” was for a Penthouse Suite for $900 pp. Not in the budget, so not gonna happen. Oh well, happy with our Mini.
  5. If you book directly through Princess, is it better to email or fax the information?
  6. You’re welcome. I was prepared to use a gift card to cover any upgrade bid I won and was surprised by this change and no option to use a gift card.
  7. The system changed on February 24th, although it doesn’t say that on the bid page. This is what it says now when you open the link that is sent to you, when you receive an email to bid on an upgrade. You have to enter a credit card that will be charged immediately if your offer is accepted.
  8. Yes it went into effect on Feb. 24th, the day I received a bid offer. I had hoped to use a gift card to make a bid, but the system would only accept a credit card.
  9. Does anyone know if the bottled water that you can order for your room is spring water or purified water?
  10. Yay! So happy for you! Did the port fees and taxes go up, with the upgrade by $255pp?
  11. Not sure if club class is worth it, except like you said, to avoid the lines. Did you get an offer to bid on a suite?
  12. The coffee package is covered but there does not seem to be a new price or any price. Am I missing something?
  13. Any thoughts on when to place a bid? Do offers expire? Do offers/ranges decrease as the embarkation date nears, if a cruise is not full? Appreciate any thoughts or experiences.
  14. You have me worried now, lol. I thought purchasing the transfers helped ensure you make your flight if you are in the window of time Princess recommends. We actually have a flight leaving at noon from SeaTac and the Princess recommendation is for a flight after 11:30 am. So I thought we’d be good. Our flight out was offered through ez air but we booked it independently.
