  1. Thanks NavyVeteran for the information. Very helpful.
  2. Would we be in port long enough to see either, or both?
  3. I do realize Ireland is an island and in fact have looked at several maps. If you read my OP you can see I mentioned SAIL/RAIL which would infer ferry/train. Not sure who you are responding to but everyone has made some very good suggestions. I don't find them complicated at all.
  4. This is exactly what we were thinking if we cruise from Southampton. We were originally going to end in Southampton and then Eurostar back to Paris. This was before we knew we could possibly debark early. We did see the cruises leaving out of Le Havre and thought that might work too, but some people have mentioned that Le Havre gets missed quite a bit. My sister-in-law is on a cruise in the Mediterranean at the moment so we will have to discuss when they return. I'm still a fan of the TA cruise 🙂
  5. Thanks for the tip. Maybe we will look at leaving from Southampton as an option. I checked today and it looks like the Paris departures are pretty full. Maybe there will be more availability from Southampton
  6. That's a good suggestion. Didn't know you could get off the boat early. Hubby doesn't like to fly so hence the trains.
  7. We thought Le Havre would be better as we wanted to spend some time at Disneyland Paris and the D-day beaches. We also want to do a self-drive tour of Ireland, preferably before the cruise. We can do sail/rail and then Eurostar to Paris. Your thoughts?
  8. It's Paris/Le Havre, sorry. The itineraries are pretty much the same except for those 2 stops.
  9. We probably could but thought May or September would be less busy.
  10. Yes, other ports are the same. Ship leaves from Le Havre. We are not too interested in Stonehenge so I'm going to vote for Orkneys. Of course I could get vetoed 🙂
  11. We are looking at 2 itineraries for a 12-day British Isles cruise for 2021. Both are on Crown Princess. Which one would you do? We would appreciate any first hand opinions. Both are round-trips from Paris. Thank you!
  12. We are looking at 2 itineraries for a 12-day British Isles cruise for 2021. Both are on Crown Princess. Which one would you do? We would appreciate any first hand opinions. Both are round-trips from Paris. 1. 12-Day British Isles with Portland (for Stonehenge)(from Paris) 2. 12-Day British Isles with Orkney Islands (from Paris) 3. Would you go in May or September?
  13. It looks like we may end up switching gears and going on a 12-day either from Paris or London sometime in May of 2021. Sailing with another couple so waiting to get their feedback. I'd love to do the transatlantic but I got vetoed 😞
