  1. I agree, just like the packages of NO-cal powders to add to water. There are many products to bring on board that wouldn't be a problem.
  2. Not sure when you cruised on BA but, my experience, end of June last year, the ship's temp. was very comfortable. Where was your cruise? Out of NYC maybe, in the winter? If so, it will be cold/cool outside for a while but once in warmer waters, it should feel great outside and in. BTW, I do take a sweater or wrap to the MDR b/c it can be cool in there no matter what time of year. Looking at another BA cruise soon, got the cruise blues. I haven't cruised since Oct last year 🍹
  3. there still appear to be bookable cruises for the Sun. Which date was your cruise please?
  4. I'm not sure about that. I know they've sent an email and I've also seen it on MyNCL. I use a credit card which alerts me of any charges over a certain amount, and that would let me know that my bid has been accepted. I'd keep my eye on my CC if it were me. It'll be the fastest notification. Good luck and enjoy your cruise.
  5. You will know before you fly. If your bid is not successful, you'll receive an email approx. 48hrs prior to sail date. If you are successful, your CC will be charged the amount of your bid. And you should receive an email with your new cabin info but not always. Good luck.
  6. I understand your disappointment and would never trust NCL or any other cruise line to regarding a cruise that may be affected by a catistrophic world incident of this magnitude. I would write off any company that would take extreme measures to protect their crew and passenger/potential passengers. Cancel and forget any cruises you may have booked and be done with cruising as a whole. There's probably something better, more affordable, more user freindly and far more likely to please you than any cruise with any company, including NCL. Be done with cruising. Be well and feel confident that you've made the right decision by finding something better than what cruising offers. I wish you the best and hope we never meet on a future cruise. Cheers.
  7. I just rec'd this message yesterday and I've never needed assistance either so, I'm thinking most, if not all, pax will receive the message.
  8. Apparently even your navy won't help out... seems strange doesn't it? Perhaps most passengers on HAL aren't US citizens.
  9. That would be fun Kate. Looking forward to meeting you. I think in the last few years I've had to cancel more cruises than I've taken, think I'm on the right track now though. BTW, for those already booked on this cruise, the Roll Call has already been started. https://www.cruisecritic.com/rollcalls/norwegian-jade-april-22-2021/
  10. My cruise is Mar. 29 on the Dawn. I'm not sure when this change happened but it must have been today or yesterday since it's always shown as $15 up until now. No worries for me since I always pre pay my DSC but if someone has decided to not pre pay they may end up being charged the higher price. That's how it's always happened before now. As I said, if you're already booked, you're fine, just pre pay and you'll get the lower rate. In your case, perhaps the change wasn't to take effect until end of March. That would explain why you don't see any change on your reservation. Enjoy your cruise.
  11. Just an update on the DSC fee. I just went in to pay the DSC for my upcoming cruise next month; the fee was $15pp/pd, however, it's gone up to $17.25pp/pd. I wasn't concerned with the increase, I know it happens pretty much every year, however, I was surprised that it listed the increased amount for my cruise. I proceeded to pay the amount "owing" and was happy that they had grand-fathered the original amount as owing ($165 as opposed to $189.75). So, if you're already booked on a cruise, as long as you pre-pay the DSC, it should still be the lower fee. Sorry, no idea what the suite fee will be increased to but the outcome should be the same.
  12. Not annoyed at all and already have 1 cruise booked for 2021 so I'm good. I'm still looking for 2 more cruises to book in 2021 but, no rush. Let them take their time, I'll wait.
  13. BS... I did get my fair using the Free/Reduced Air!! Just because I was able to get my flight changed doesn't mean I did anything out of line with the offer. I simpley asked, very nicely, if there was anything they could do to change my flight since I was arriving the day prior to the cruise. It sucks that you haven't been able to get the same results but it doesn't give you the right to call me a liar or misrepresent the information I shared. Get a life.
  14. May I ask how soon after receiving your info for the flights you called the premium air number? I called within 2 hours of rec'g the email. , I wonder if some of the reason could be that I cruise solo, (so just 1 flight) however, I don't know whether it has any impact or if it's b/c I've cruised with NCL enough to be Plat. almost Plat + or whether I was just fortunate enough to build good rapport with the rep before asking them to look into a better flight or b/c I had booked a flight and hotel with them. I'd be interested in knowing if any of that had any impact on their decision to accommodate my request.
