  1. OP, all I can say is "good luck" as far as winning this battle with NCL. Personally, I'm not really sure why you'd ever consider cruising with NCL again under the circumstances. Stay healthy.
  2. Thanks Sid. My 1st mega ship cruise was on Epic. Not my fave.
  3. I wouldn't make that final payment. We don't even know if cruises will have started back up by then.
  4. Sadly, you are not alone in your feelings of disgust with NCL. Unfortunately, there may not be much choice anyway. I'm waiting to see how this whole situation rolls out. As far as the customer service goes, there are only certain things they can do for customers, especially under these unprecedented circumstances. The powers that be could have placed very strict policies on what can be done for customers.
  5. Totally agree. NCL could easily have said, your CNC expires Feb. 2020, done!
  6. Applicable to guests 1-8 on the reservation. If 3-8 guest is under 21 years of age, Premium Beverage package does not apply and soda package will not be given as a substitution.
  7. Agreed. I think most of us are of that opinion. No more free loans.
  8. It definitely is impacting my decision regarding final payments. I have 2 longish cruises booked for next April (total 26 days). I'm with you, as far being uncomfortable making final payment 120 days from sail date. It may seem like a long way off, however, looking at this pandemic and cruise line / CDC expectations, it doesn't allow much margin for error. Hopefully things will improve shortly.
  9. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/travel-restrictions-exemptions.html#enter I know it says July 31st here but I read in another article (I no longer have it) that the govt was considering another extension. Difficult to keep up with all the changes.
  10. Yeah, I really enjoyed that video... lots of fun. ... Hope it returns soon. With cruises booked in 2021 and 2022, I'm definitely on the "glass half full" side, however, that could change, sadly. 😉 Just read a notice that our borders will be closed until Aug. 31st after 2 US citizens crossed the border into Canada and failed to adhere to the 14 day quarantine. Doubt that's the only reason for the extension but suspect it's more to do with the goal of closing borders (keep wanting to spell it boarders - people staying here already) but the longest border in the world remains closed, for now.
  11. ^^^ This is what we all (or many of us) dream about. In my area, just recently, the city council has decided that opening things up more is a good thing, however, masks for most will be mandatory in indoor venues. Shopping malls are just opening up and restaurants and bars have outdoor dining/drinking. Our border opening has been delayed again until the end of July and there's talk that it may be extended until end of October. It's all so "fly by the seat of your pants" right now, no one really knows what will come next. I hope everyone stays healthy and can make it through this C-19 pandemic. Wearing a mask isn't really so bad... honest. Good luck everyone. 😉
  12. Awww, Petey looks so cute. He reminds me of my Duke although I think Duke would have outweighed him by about 40lbs, LOL.
  13. Thank you 😉 Sadie was a very sweet, very well trained (not by me) pooch. I adopted her at 10... just couldn't stand seeing her at the kennel any longer. Her demeanor was so polite, she'd always thank me for a treat. Unfortunately, you know things sometimes come in 3's and this was the case for me. Sadie was my sweet girl and Duke was my kid's protector, both wonderful pooches.
  14. OP, I think you can see that calling NCL or your TA, is really the only way to determine the accurate information, so, do you have your answer yet? Just wondering... and wishing you luck in your search for info. Cheers
  15. Sadly, no one knows what's going on. Don't allow the few to change the true process of the cruising industry's actual progress. Please, look at the logistics of cruising as a whole. Many cruises by many cruise lines have been cancelled due to C-19. I understand that for many young people, this is outrageous but when you look at the world's numbers, it is too sad. The cruise lines will begin cruising when they are given permission to do so. Not before. It may be in Oct. 2020 or Oct. 2021, no one knows for sure. I hope it's sooner rather than later but I'm not the one in charge, nor is anyone else on this forum. Good luck, hope your cruise goes as planned. Cheers 🥃
