  1. Yes, we do that all the time with our two kids who are in a separate cabin from us. The package is tied to a specific number of devices, not to a cabin number.
  2. And let me not forget the made to order eggs Benedict at breakfast in the buffet! Exactly how a poached egg should be and with scrumptious hollandaise sauce.
  3. My family and I have taken 15 Princess cruises since 2006, along with a couple of forays into the Oasis class RCL. Did a 4 day quick Millennium add on after our New Year’s Princess cruise 3 weeks ago. First time on Celebrity. We happened upon a great sale. Price couldn’t be beat as staying in Fort L for the few days before our flight home would have been far more expensive. We absolutely fell in love with the smaller ship size and passenger load of the Millennium. Surprising as we are more newer build cruisers which mean larger ships. Looking at Summit for next January. Appears to be similar to Millennium based on YouTube videos. Glad to see that it also has been refurbished recently. What we loved about Millennium: smaller size; lots of quiet areas with ample seating; the solarium; the steam room and large showers in the change rooms off the solarium; the Oceanview buffet with the separate stations (especially the ice cream bar and made to order pasta and stir fry sections); the pretty decent Indian station (I know of what I speak 😉 ); hot fries at the outdoor grill; the very quick seating in the MDR, even when we requested just a table for 2 rather than sharing, and the 75 min pace of the meals (this was incredibly more efficient than our previous week on the Regal Princess where the seating lines were incredibly long and dinners would take over 2 hrs; the abundance of servers in the MDR; the ample storage and the loveseat in our interior cabin; loungers always available on sea days; the rooftop terrace. Wasn’t too crazy about the Millennium pizza in the buffet; have to give that one over to Princess - they do have the best pizza at sea, no question! Did miss Princess’ open 3 deck piazza and the International Cafe. But willing to forego those things for the occasional Celebrity cruise. Am hoping to find that the Summit will give us a very similar experience next year as the Millennium did…???
  4. Lounging racks! Love it! Was looking for an apt description and you hit it.
  5. Thanks so much for the feedback and info! We absolutely fell in love with the smaller ship size and passenger load of the Millennium.
  6. We are long time Princess cruisers, and took our first Celebrity cruise this past month. Absolutely fell in love with the free of charge thalassotherapy pool in the solarium on Millennium. Also enjoyed the fewer passengers, smaller ship vibe. Does not look like all of the celebrity ships have the thalassotherapy type pool in their solariums. So far, I just see it on Summit, Millennium, and Reflection. Any others? Thank you!
  7. On the Regal last month, saw this a few times…
  8. Yes, my husband used the fitness ones on the Sky when he worked out in the mornings. Freed up the cabin shower for me. Pretty sure there were two in the women’s change room when I went through. One regular and maybe one handicapped. Even the regular one was huge compared to the cabin shower. Towels available and soap/shampoo dispensers in shower.
  9. All of my cruises have been to warm weather destinations. Have my first transAtlantic booked for Oct 9 from Southampton to Fort Lauderdale. For those with personal experience, what can I expect for weather? I realize every cruise will bring different temps, but just wondering what the typical is at that time of year. Will I be able to sit on the open decks in shorts and a t shirt and be comfortably warm, or is it more pants and light jacket weather? I come from a cold climate area, so sun and warmth are at the top of my list when it comes to vacations. thnks!
  10. Thanks for all the tips, everyone. We absolutely loved our four days on the millennium. Found the buffet to be far better than on princess, which has been our line of choice the last 15 years or so. Absolutely loved, loved, loved the solarium. Spent many hours there. The ice cream station in the buffet was fabulous. Really enjoyed the Terrace area; it was a nice reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the pool area.
  11. Looking at a trans Atlantic going to Fort L from England in Oct of this coming year. Which side is better for afternoon shade? My friend and travel companion burns easily.
  12. On the Regal two weeks ago, were open 24/7. I guess it depends on staffing issues, etc. Have never had it not be open on embarkation day. And we do laundry. A lot. 😀. Allows us to travel light.
  13. Never really thought of this before as we typically only sail Princess and it's always out of T2. Over Christmas, though, we got on Celebrity right after our Regal Princess disembarkation and it dawned on us that T2 is out of the secure area. Just curious as to why this is? It does make it very convenient to be able to head toward the 17th street shops without having to go through port security. Just seems weird to have one terminal out of the secure area of the port. However, I am glad that it's a Princess terminal.
  14. We spent 8 days on the Regal last week. Pub lunch was not offered during the cruise (unless I missed it in the buffet one day). We used to love the one offered in the Crown Grill bar area. I did not see the pay for afternoon tea that used to be done in the piazza; however, we went to the free MDR tea every sea day. It was in the same dining room each time, 3-4 pm. The back of the Patter will have the info about location and time. It's one of my favourite things to do on Princess. I did notice that we had to call servers over to refill our cups, and getting the scones' server (there was only one doing the entire room) to come by took multiple requests of other servers on our behalf - not a complaint, just an observation. In the past, we'd have the servers making multiple stops at our table. This was our 7th Regal cruise and first after the shutdown. We definitely noticed that there was a staff shortage in all areas. I didn't mind waiting an extra 5 minutes to get my soda at the bar, or the longer time between dinner courses, just felt really bad for the crew as they were working even harder than ever. This was a New Year's cruise, so it was a very full cruise as well. Also, part of the dinner buffet had a theme each night (eg. Bavarian, Italian, Mexican, etc); this, too, was listed on the Patter each day under dining. If you have any other questions about the Regal, feel free to ask. It's one of our favourite Princess ships.
  15. Thank goodness for Cruise Critic! I happened to see a similar post prior to our Regal cruise in Dec where the person used a bandaid. I did the same last week - fortunately had a larger bandaid in my emergency kit that did the trick.
  16. Thanks, everyone! Looking forward to boarding tomorrow and exploring the ship.
  17. Thanks! What terminal are you coming into? I have to make my way from #2
  18. Is there a free shuttle between terminals? We are getting of Regal and getting on Celebrity Millennium tomorrow. I assume it won’t be walking distance with bags in tow. Of course, will pay for Uber or cab if needed.
  19. Does anyone know which terminal M generally docks at?
  20. Hi, we are currently on the Regal Princess for New Yrs and will be taking a very short, 4 day, Bahamas cruise on Millennium right after. Not an ideal amount of time, but we had a few days before our flight back to Canada and wanted to maximize our time in the sun. Got a great deal on the cruise - will be cheaper than a hotel stay in FLL. It will be our first time on Celebrity, so am hoping for any tips that experienced Celebrity cruisers can offer. Will definitely go read as many reviews on here as I can find. Happy New Yr!
  21. Just reading about the tragic death of the woman who sadly passed away after going overboard on Thurs morning. I believe it was this same ship? Awful situation. My condolences to her friends and family. Horrible tragedy, and then the disrespect of those of who are reported to have engaged in a brawl (word used by the news people) because they couldn’t disembark for a few hours, I’m assuming due to the death.
