  1. Is the OBC that comes with the upgrade limited to excursions or is it like other OBC that can be used on anything on the ship?
  2. We were in the PH on Edge when cruising resumed. At first, we wondered if the Butler was going to be just so so because he told us on the 1st day that tea was in The Retreat Lounge and they were discouraging afternoon snack delivery. The next day we were chatting about food and mentioned we did not have any Indonesian restaurants at home and wondered how it differed from other Asian food. Suddenly, he offered to prepare a 4 course Indonesian dinner for us to be served in our suite. He turned out to be one of the better Butlers we've had. First impressions are not always accurate and turns out we did not miss the afternoon snacks at all.
  3. We haven't gotten CC list of events for several years now, even pre Covid we had to ask if we wanted to see what was going on. We are Elite + and no longer bother with them. We do try to meet the CC host/ess. Last cruise she was ho hum, which was a marked change from other times we have introduced ourselves. We might not bother on future cruises.
  4. Meals are not included. Tours on the land portion are but there are additional excursions that you can book through the tour guide at a cost. Otherwise, you would have free time. Luggage has to be outside your hotel room door early in the morning. They will ask you to pack one suitcase for things you need on the land portion and one with cruise only items. This case will be put on the coach and delivered to your room on the ship, or to your last hotel room at the end of the tour if the cruise is first. We did 2 land tours through Celebrity and at the time they had their own train car for only Celebrity and meals on the train were included. From a few posts I saw this is no longer the case. With reduced capacity they might be using the regular train cars for the tour.
  5. Yes, they are free for RS guests. Specialty dinners like the Chef's table, Taji dinner, are not included.
  6. I didn't think our price on our December cruise would be lower because we've had a number of price drops and the category is sold out. I called our CVP and she took a look. We saved $150 on this cruise. It would have been more but the cruise care increased because of the way they price it.
  7. The further away from the cruise the less accurate the menus. At least that is what we saw on our last 2 cruises.
  8. We saved almost $2900 on our Beyond March 2024 booking. The RS on the Summit October 2023 cruise is $18 pp higher than the price we are paying for the PH. I didn't ask to have the price checked on our December 2022 cruise. We got a few price drops and the category is still sold out. Usually when we get price drops pre sale the sale price is higher than what we are paying.
  9. Murano's is not showing on our December 31 Reflection cruise either.
  10. I'm on vacation. The last thing I want to do is make coffee. Even with a French press you have to deal with the coffee grounds. The machines in the upper suites only make expresso type coffee, not for me. Bring me room service coffee, half and half, and real cups and I'm happy.
  11. They will be on the last page of your edocs when they are available.
  12. In the US you would get back any amount paid above the NR deposit as long as it was before final payment. Should work the same in England.
  13. I just leave most of the questions unanswered or write "none or N/A". They've never given me a hard time.
  14. Just let the host/hostess know the day before that you will be early or late the next night. That's why they have anytime dining. Reservations are nice to have but you can still be flexible.
  15. I've been noticing that there are topics on the boards, Celebrity is what I view several times a day, that I don't see for a few days. I thought it was me but there is a current thread, Snuck Up on Me! - Celebrity Cruises - Cruise Critic Community that was posted on Monday at 9:18 AM. I only saw it tonight at approx 7:25 PM despite the fact that I've checked the boards several times a day since Monday. This is definitely a poster that I would follow. Anyone else noticing this?
  16. There is a wall between your cabin and the elevator. We have never heard noise from the elevators and we are often midship across from the midship elevators.
  17. So sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed his posts, even though I might not have agreed with them. May he rest in peace on the nearest cruise ship.
  18. We went 2 days early in March and will go 3 days early in December. Since the cruise is only 8 days 3 days extends our vacation and we can board the ship on New Year's Eve rested.
  19. I was amazed at the prices of LV bags on Edge in October. I had a large amount of OBC and bought a Coach bag. After I got home I saw a post about the LV bags being used and I was doubly amazed.
  20. With your view of cruising right now it might be best for you to cancel. There are no guarantees and Covid is not going away any time soon.
  21. Sometimes they disappear for a day for inventory maintenance.
  22. On a Canadian cruise a balcony above and to the side of ours was decorated. The tighty whities and 40DDD bra looked so cute hanging from the clothes line I wondered why more people didn't decorate.
