  1. I am on the Oasis Transatlantic in October 24. I found something on the web that says the Oasis is going in for some major changes that could take up to 2 months. Thats a  long time for a ship like that to be out. I looked in the Roll calls and there are cruises on the oasis up to 9/29/2024. That only leaves about 3 weeks before the TA from Barcelona to FL, I've experienced interferences, to say it nicely, in the past and hoping there aren't major ones with this one. We booked way back before we knew this was the first cruise out of drydock. Now we are just sticking with it and waiting to see what alterations will be made.

  2. I was also on this cruise and I agree with you that the music had a very lively vibe but I also missed having softer music. Like you said. Somewhere where you can sit and talk while listening to maybe soft classic rock 🙂

Overall, I thought this cruise ticked all the boxes for my enjoyment..

You are doing a wonderful review!

  3. we stopped in falmouth in January. Took a ship excursion (NCL) to the Appleton Rum place. It was about a 40 min drive by bus to the plantation. We did enjoy the excursion. Also the port in falmouth is nice. I asked a couple locals about getting to a beach. They said just get a taxi. I askef if Taxi are safe and they said yes. But I wouldn't go that far.

Taking into consideration the ships age she is fantastic.  Sure, she could use some TLC in spots but everything has been in good working order.

GS is great.   Can’t find a single thing to complain about.

I love radiance class so I am somewhat partial.

If you come into it expecting it to be like Oasis class you’ll be disappointed most likely.  Apples and oranges IMO.

     I haven’t noticed many children. 👍🏻

Ill be posting final thoughts at the end.

Jewel is my favorite. Is cruisin Susan still the cruise director?  So many fantastic waiters on that ship. Hope they are still there and being treated well. We sailed many a time out of port canaveral on that ship

We did a free walking tour through https://www.freewalkingtourscuracao.com/

our guide was Rayay and he did a fantastic job telling and showing us the history of the island.  We had been to Curaçao previously and did a ship sponsored excursion.  This time we actually felt like we got to know the island.  We started just outside the fort near where the ship docked, and walked through the neighborhood area before winding our way across the bridge to the shopping area where we finished the tour on a lovely rooftop terrace.

thank you. I just signed up.

New App works awesome. You don't have to link your brokerage account. Screen print and download copy of your Brokerage statement. Basically the same as faxing or emailing. Took a couple days to confirm holdings ownership because we did it on the weekend. Once confirmed applied for Shareholder Benefits for two Princess Cruises. It only took three minutes from application time to receipt of confirmation email and OBC showing up on My Princess website for each cruise.

we did not use the app. The travel agent gave us the email address and I sent a copy of our statement with all the account # etc blacked out. Took a day or 2 but it showed up as OBC

  7. I guess I was just hoping there was another main show besides Burn the Floor. I have cruised on the Epic before and it seems Burn the Floor has been around for awhile. Was just hoping for a change. Guess not.

    Thank you

Lemon Drops aren't $12. The BB King version made with Grey Goose are, at least they were as late as Saturday night.

That's why I made the recommendation about subbing out the expensive call liquor. I doubt anyone would be able to tell a vodka swap.

There's a $12 Cosmopolitan on the MDR menu. Sub out the Cointreau for Curacao and, viola! SBP drink.

oh I totally disagree on the vodka swap statement. I can certainly tell the difference between a cocktail made with low grade vodka and grey goose. Grey goose is smooth, no burn.

    • Really best to buy gouda in Curacao in the port area. They have all kinds of flavors and choices. It is a bit pricey in my opinion but so many options. I have bought partial wheels in Bonnaire and a little store across the bridge in Curacao which takes some searching. I don't think there is any in Aruba. Ive looked.
  9. I feel the same about the quality of the food. I was on the Jewel and the Wonder recently. Food in the MDR left a lot to be desired in my opinion. We joined a table of 6 couples last month on the Jewel. Every night someone was sending something back- meat was too tough, food was cold, food just wasn't good.  I guess the best way to let them know is to tell the head waiters and the chefs and to put remarks on the surveys.
