    Barbados Info

Hunte's Gardens is a must see (we visit every time we go to Barbados and sit with Anthony and drink his rum punch :) ) Also best lobster I have ever eaten was found at Lobster Alive ... LOVE
  3. Hi everyone - hope you don't mind me asking but if you are at the pool during the day what is the dress code for eating lunch - can you put on a cover-up or do you need "real clothes" LOL What about breakfast - if I come from yoga OK to wear yoga attire or do I need to go back and change ? Thank you everyone - just don't want to offend anyone :')
  4. Good day - we have an option to upgrade to a Commodore Suite (Deck 2) so my question is would you do it given little time in the cabin ???
  5. Piaa

Is an upgrade worth it ?

At what price do you think it would be worth paying wripro ? Deck 2 upgrade to a Commodore.. $500, $1000, $2000, $3000 - thank you for your insight

    St Barts recommendations

Wonderful to know TrapperZimmy (I would not have known this) and I just read somewhere on this forum that SD can pack a picnic lunch as well .. getting more excited for our first (but not last of that I am 100% certain) SD experience
  7. Good afternoon everyone - not long now so please forgive the questions ;) Anyone have a suggestion for St Barts post hurricane ? Our day on St Barts is my birthday so looking for beach (possibly) with a nice lunch (or just a great lunch restaurant suggestion) I have only been twice before but both times off season and after Irma I am not sure what might be open. I did read (I think) that Cheval Blanc Hotel is open - does anyone know if they allow non guests for the day or is there a better option ? Thank you for any recommendations and for any others recommendations/suggestions you might have for our other ports of call - Jost (don't need recommendations for Jost as I am there often LOL) Nevis, Iles Des Saintes, Guadeloupe, Martinique and Bequia.

    Dress for breakfast/lunch ?

"It isn't unusual to see women in 4" heels standing at the bar, so it can't be too dangerous" Yeah... in my professional ballroom dancer days maybe but not now - this chick (OK hen) will be in flats this trip ;p

Mrs Tiki - thank goodness the 17' to 20' swells we had last week have gone (but as a result of these swells the ocean was spectacular - colors I have never seen in the 13 years living here) and now we are left with high winds (bring a wrap for evenings maybe ? but never being on SeaDream before maybe the dining area and outside bar are protected from wind ?) The "bad" news is there is another Nor'easter happening now and as we are affected by these storms our wave height and wind strength will depend on how fast that front moves on and how quickly the "tail" gets pulled North. We monitor an off shore buoy for wave height and right now they have not updated the predicted height for the weekend (but I can let you know if you wish once it is updated) .. the good news is the further South we go the less the Nor'easter impacts us. See you soon

I totally agree (but I am a bit biased LOL) We might look at little different than your previous trips but the love is still in Love City <3

Excellent BCinMA - where are you staying in St John and what ferry are you planning on taking on Saturday (we will probably be on the 1pm from Cruz Bay) Book dinner at Extra Virgin one night on St John - I think you will like it.

Not sure I understand St. John

I live on St John - the ferry has NEVER been every 30 minutes only ever on the hour (except for the first 2 ferries in the morning which are on the half hour) both pre and post Irmaria

Good day everyone - quick question ... is there any type of yoga class offered onboard ? Thanks so much
  20. Piaa

    Yoga ?

Hi Mrs Tikki - we are on board to celebrate my (gulp) 55th LOL (traveling with another couple) and we definitely will be found at the bar :) Love to meet you in class - we are from St John so just a short ferry ride to meet the ship :) .. see you soon

    Yoga ?

Excellent - thank you everyone :) Getting excited
  22. You need permission in advance from the Captain - they will escort you off the ship first thing upon arrival and then be escorted to Customs and Immigration. Something that needs to be arranged upon booking the cruise

    Shore excursions

Hi everyone - we are booked on our first SD on March 17th out of STT (yay) and I am wondering where may I find what shore excursions are offered at each port please. Thanks for any help ~ Pia
  24. Hi - I live on St John and (obviously) have to use the taxis in St Thomas to the airport etc - rates are fixed no negotiating at all. You will pay per person and be in a taxi with 10 to 15 people (not private)
