I will be following your adventures. I really enjoy your posts.

Nope, all HAL tours report to World Stage, get a number and wait for it to be called. Just got off the Rotterdam July 20th.

First night of the Rotterdam cruise we were invited to the Neptune Lounge. Angelica spoke about all the perks and what they could do for us. Food and drinks were provided. I believe the Guest Service officer was in attendance.

Just left the port today with HAL shuttle . We didn’t leave until 9:30 and got to the airport at 11am. We booked a night at the Sheraton and they checked us in by 11:30. Flight was cheaper on Sunday rather than Saturday. Great to relax and not worry about flight at the end of vacation

In the past we've always docked just below Akershus Fortress. It's interesting to go through, and it's just up the hill from where you disembark.
Thanks that was exactly what I need to plan. And yes we plan to tour the castle.

I am trying to plan a starting point for a self walking tour of Oslo. Can anyone tell me where Holland docks in Oslo ?

On our February 2022 cruise (Hawaii, French Polynesia and Marquesa ) a passenger decided to get off the port of Raiatea with a suitcase. He was searched and the suitcase was full of drugs. Needless to say the French Polynesia Police arrested him. When HAL searched his room lots of more drugs were found.

I have curly hair and was amazed how smooth the hairdryer on the N. Statendam got my hair! I never take a hairdryer and just make do with what is on the ship. I do travel with a hair straightener and large hot curlers.
CO on the Rotterdam is different. Much larger, and cozy, as compared to the 'Test Kitchen' style of what we had on the N. Statendam. Looking forward to dining in CO on our Rotterdam cruise in May.
Thank you! And hello Sallie and Vince and we wish you a wonderful holiday.🎄

Thank you for posting . We will be on her In June. Would you please post a picture of CO. I wonder if it is different than the Nieuw Statendam?

We had a Neptune aft on the Nieuw Statendam. Our cruise was the Midnight Sun in Norway. There were two days in the North Sea that were extremely rocky and bouncy. One night bed lower drawers would roll out and back in so we put the coffee table against them. Overall, we love aft cabins but not in the North Sea.

We did the Midnight Sun cruise this past May. Geiranger and Alesund were are favorite fjords.

Nope. That is why I always book speciality restaurants on non sea days. I don’t want to miss gala nights in the MDR.

Is there a good spot to park for the Baltimore cruise port that is reasonable? Does anyone know the price at the cruise port it self?

Yikes 7000-6000 pax is about three of HAL! I didn’t realize that knowing nothing of either one. I just watched a video of the Icon. Whoa definitely different than HAL .

We have only sailed with Holland. We were “gifted” a free 7 day cruise but only with Norwegian or RC. The itineraries are similar (eastern Caribbean) . I just would like to hear from those who sailed with these lines, the positives or negatives. It would be Norwegian Encore or Norwegian Breakaway or Iconof the Sea Thank you.
